chapter 4

It's the wedding day all the guests have arrived, and this is the perfect time to elope without getting noticed by anyone. Aaira made sure Rida's parents left the venue before she went for Rida to help her leave.

Aaira couldn't just rely on someone so plan B was ready, and she came with staff clothes for Rida to change into hoping if she wears them no one will notice or stop her from leaving the venue.

Just as they expected no one noticed Rida and she was able to leave without any problem and was hiding by the walls watching the men guarding the room expecting her to be inside.

Rida thought this was it and everything is sorted, her parents are safe, so is she and now she can go anywhere she wanted to without worrying about anything.

"you want to go inside?" yes it was not that easy. A voice from behind startled Rida, she tried to maintain her pace and looked behind, and saw a big figure man, handsome she might want to add standing a few steps away from her, her thoughts were running wild, he was tall, handsome and beautiful anyone would go astray looking at him, Rida tried to push her thoughts away "uh no thanks, I'm not invited actually, so uh- okay bye" Rida wanted to run away but Zeus didn't let her go "it's okay I'm invited, we can go inside together" he says trying to make her stay.

"No, no, it's fine, I just don't really want to attend the wedding, my mother is sick I must go back home" she says trying to flee from the venue "it's fine she'll just be fine, let's just attend the wedding" Zeus says trying to stop her from leaving.

Rida was having a hard time convincing this man and saying no to him, but she have to do it even when her eyes were stuck on this fine man, she had to look away and walk away from him, she looked at him stretching her head a little, he was tall maybe a little over 186cm (about 6.1 ft) and she is hardly 157cm (about 5.15 ft).

"no thank you, I don't want to, you should get in, the wedding will start in a few minutes now" she says trying to walk away from him, she was getting intimidated by him. Zeus held his hand forward trying to stop her from leaving "you sure?" he asks, looking at her, questioning her.

Rida looks at him "obviously, you have the invite, did you not see it properly? it is noon, the wedding will start any minute now" she says trying to get away from him and leave the venue.

"yeah, right but will the wedding continue?" he asks walking closer to her "what do you mean?" Rida regretted talking to him. Zeus grabs her arms pulling her closer to him and whispers "I can see the bride running away"

Rida opened her eyes wide and quickly got closer to Zeus, to make him stop talking and placed her palm on his lips, he was shocked and so were the guards behind him. They almost pointed their gun towards her, but Rida got lucky because Zeus motioned them not to use the guns.

Zeus stood there watching her, her caramel eyes as bright as the sun and full of hope and love "shh!!!" she says, looking around, making sure no guard was near them and listening. I don't want to marry him; he's forcing me into this marriage" she says staring at him. He nods his head looking at her, he couldn't believe this little girl tiptoeing on her toes to stop him from talking, he looked at her then her palm, "eh, yeah" she slowly takes her hand off his lips.

"I can help you with it if you want" he says as he was here just for that "No" Zeus looks at her confused, as humans, they accept help in desperate times without a second thought, but she said a clear no.

Zeus couldn't just let it go "why?" Rida moved a little away from him "thank you but no, nothing comes free in this world and I can't risk your life for this he's dangerous, he almost killed my friend when he spilled just a little wine on me" she explains him the situation she was in "he did that?" he asks, trying to scoop up some information from her.

Rida walked a little closer trying not to get caught by the guards "yes!!! he uses his gun to make me say yes to all his wants" Zeus looked at her and the fear she had in her eyes as she talked about Drake.

All his boys started running around the place searching. "Shit they found out!!!" Rida says trying to hide but it was too late, Drake looked angry and was pointing his gun at the boys ordering them to search every corner of the hall. Zeus looks at the venue and then Rida "looks like they noticed, what will you do now?"

"I will run!" Rida was too nervous to even walk, seeing Drake with his gun how did she even agree to elope from the wedding? "you'll be caught in a minute even if you run"

"but-"

Zeus looks at Rida trying to convince her that he's here to help "Just get in my car Rida you'll be safe!" Rida looks at him and the guards walking and running all over the place "just get in!" he says.

"Fine" Rida was already in his car hiding, taking deep breaths and telling herself not to freak out and that everything would be fine.

'you are fine girl, you'll be fine Rida! Calm down, nothing will happen, he won't see you!'

Zeus watches Rida telling herself to calm down and that she'll be fine "don't worry they won't be able to find you here and they can't get near my car even if they do the guards will kill them if necessary" he says looking at her worried self.

Rida glances at him before speaking another word "Why has killing people became so easy?"
