Lovely Cherry

It was a normal day in Los Angeles for me well so I thought. I was a small girl with light red curly hair and blossom lips till I saw this guy I was taking orders at this bar I work at well you get the point soon "Nova you got table 6 get a move on it" my boss said "Got it sir" I said as I walk towards the table it was a a group of guys they all was laughing except for one who eyes catches mines I stood in my tracks I took a deep breath and walk over there thinking not to get close he won't let you stink in not after all this years "Hi my name is Nova I be getting your drinks and refilling them what can I start you off with" I said the guys look and gave me their drink order I look at the light blue eyed men who was staring into thin space "Um sir what can I get for you" on of his friends smack his arm off the table making him hit his forehead "Sorry Damon" the guy said "You going to regret that Prince and for you Cherry just get me a whiskey double" Damon said I wrote it down and walk away "Damon what's the matter you zone out" Prince said "Hey stop being a best friend and go fuck your self" Damon said as I walk over there the guys was gone I look and noticed they left and they didn't pay I ran out to find them as I ran out I found them they was outside smoking a cigarette leaning against their cars Damon smile "So you here to bring our drinks I thought we can't drink out here" Damon said "You can't unless a worker is watching and I'm a worker so here is your drinks" after I gave them the drinks everybody was running outside "Nova you off for today the bar is closed" My boss said I smile and nod as I leave I notice that the guys was looking at me "Here's your tip love" on guy said I smile "Thank you have a nice night boys" I said walking away "Damon you seem like you could of pulled her" Prince said Damon laugh and went into his car and drove off I was walking when I Almost got hit "What the hell" I said "Sorry Cherry you should watch where you going though" Damon said "I SHOULD WATCH WHERE you know what follow the damn speed limit next time" I said Damon look and and laugh "Okay Cherry let get something straight you got balls I give you that but if you talk to me like that again it not going to be pretty" Damon said I look and laugh "Listen dude you don't know me and I don't know you so threatened me is not going to work I believe it is probably a empty threat if anything but hey you got it all figured out" I said Damon laugh and came close to me "I hope you sleep with one eye open because my threats or never empty" Damon said walking back to the car "Go fuck yourself asshole" I said walking away "Sorry Cherry I have girls doing that for me but there more where that came from" Damon said I look and rolled my eyes walking back to my house and why do he keep calling me CHERRY "Sofia I'm home" I yelled Sofia came jumping on my back "Heh sista" Sofia said "Hey Sof how was school" I said Sofia smile "Sofia Grace i promise mom that you'll go to school before she died" I said angrily My mother was a good mother to both of us after our father up and left she was tried but she was sick and died I promise mom I'll take care of both of us and I'm going to do that once our father left us when mom was pregnant with Sofia and I hated man since they only damage but when I look at Sofia I see me and mom together and fighter and a smart beautiful women she just need to learn that "I'm sorry Nova I promise I go tomorrow" Sofia said sadly I smile and hug her "It okay come on let's go out to eat I got a big tip today and I have enough to go out to your favorite restaurant" I said Sofia ran to get her shoes I was holding her hand when the boys at the bar was at daddy's soul food and grill what the heck do they ever stop partying "Nova look there's a sit" Sofia said I look to see she was pointing at the table where the boys was next to before I can say no she ran and sat down I rolled my eyes and walk pass them the light blue eyed guy was staring at me when I was walking to sit down with Sofia "Nova you know how next week is mom's birthday can we go get flowers and go to her grave and sing happy birthday if you don't got work" Sofia said I look and smile "Always and no I don't got work I got to publish this book though" I said Sofia look and smile "I can't wait to see it" Sofia said I smiled "What you want to eat Sofia" I said "Moms favorite plate that we always get when she was alive" I smile as Sofia was eating Sofia look up and pointed "Nova there is a group of boys behind you" Sofia said I turn and look "What do you want almost killer" I said he look and laugh "The name is Damon Cherry" Damon said I look "Don't call me that it Nova" I said Damon laugh "I know but Cherry fits you better because of your hair color and your sister can be little Cherry" Damon said my Sofia look and came by me and sat on my lap "Nova who are they" Sofia said I look and noticed she was scared "They just some boys who I served today at the bar finish eating so you can get ready for bed for school Sof" I said Damon look at me and chuckle I put the money on the table and carry out Sof out-the restaurant she was tried and Sof is really small like me even if she only a 6 grader she is very light as I was walking a car stop right next to me "You can't keep carrying her all the way to your house come on I'll take you home" Damon said "I don't trust you" I said Damon laugh "If I wanted to hurt you I would of been done it by now" Damon said "Yeah he's right" Prince said "I'm Prince Damon's best friend" Prince said "Nova and this girl I'm carrying is my little sister Sofia" I said Prince open the door "Come on we take you home" Prince said I look at Damon "I promise call this my apology from you" Damon said I look "I doubt you every apologize before" I said Damon laugh "I'm sorry for almost hitting you with my car I should of been paying attention and I'm sorry for threatening you it was not nice of me" Damon said Prince look shocked "I'm sorry to but I can carry her it better for her" I said "Cherry it about to rain come on and get into this car I don't want Sofia getting sick" Damon said I look at Sofia as I carry her and rush her to the car I promise mom I would be here to see her grow up when she was on her death bed god mom i miss you so much "Just turn left and keep straight and it the apartments buildings" I said Damon did just that Prince was in the front I was holding my sister "How old is she" Damon said "She's 11 turning 12" I said "and you" Damon said I look "I'm 25" I said Damon nod "So four years older then me" Damon said I look up "you're 29" I ask he laughed like really laughed "yeah and Prince is the same age" Damon said as he park the car I got Sofia out and walk into the lobby Damon was there to help me as I got to my door "Could you hold her" I ask Damon grab Sofia as I unlock the door I grab her "Thank you for the ride Damon" I said Damon smile and took my hand and kiss it "I hope we see each other again Cherry" Damon said Damon close the door and I put Sofia to bed "Nova" Sofia said "What's up sof" I said "If you and Damon get together would the same thing happened to mom and dad to you" Sof said I promise myself not to fall and Damon will not make me break my walls down "No never now get some sleep" I said kissing her forehead Sofia was innocent and I'll do anything to protect her I'm Sofia new mom until we see mom in the other world but till then I protect my Sofia till then
