Becoming an Adventure
In the afternoon after I have a date, no.. walking around the City, I walking towards my room but I thought something
"Hmm.. I don't have a plan now. I don't think I can stay in the Academy anymore if I want to become strong. The Academy already give me a permission to not worry about mission or final exam, so maybe I should leave the Academy until second year begin." I thought deeply
So I don't plan to go back to my room but I walk towards to the City again. I thought that this is the only way for me if I want to improving my self.
I arrive in front of the familiar building. It's Adventure Guild Building. I look around a few second and then enter the guild.
I see there is so many adventure who take rest and drinking inside the guild. Well It can't be help.
I walk towards the Receptionist Counter. It's a good thing that miss Karen counter is empty so I just come to her
"Hello miss Karen" I said respectfully
"Hmm.. Hello. You are... that student right. Do you need any help ?" (Karen)
"Yes, it's me miss Karen. Rudeus Hardlett. Just call me Rudeus please. I want to register as adventure. Could you help me miss Karen ?" (Rudeus)
"Ah.. You really that student huh. Well Rudeus right. Hmm.. You want to become adventure ?" (Karen)
"Yes miss Karen. Could I ?" (Rudeus)
"Yes you can student Rudeus. But can you told me the reason ? Even though you are a student of Ace Institute Academy but we need a reason to let student like you become adventure. I'm sorry" (Karen)
"Ah.. it's fine miss Karen. Well..." I scratch my head a bit and said "Actually the Academy already give me a free way. Well you can say I need to search another way to get stronger and I think it's better for me to become adventure"
"Huh.. the Academy give you free way ? What do you mean student Rudeus ? Is something happen ?" (Karen)
"Well you see miss Karen, me and my party did something quite lucky. Because of it we receive a rewards that let us improve our strength. But Because of that I don't think the Academy can give me any support anymore to improve my strength so I search another way." (Rudeus)
Miss Karen observing me a few second and said "I see. Well seems like you telling the truth. Alright I will proceed you registration student Rudeus. Please wait a minute"
Then miss Karen go to the back room and pick up something.
Please drop your blood in the crystal student Rudeus.
I drop my blood to the crystal and the crystal light up and then miss Karen begin to write something.
"I will ask you a few question student Rudeus. Please told me accurately. If you give a false answer, it's not the guild mistake for what happen in the future" (Karen)
"Sure" I nod at her
"First told me your name." (Karen)
"Rudeus Hardlett" (Rudeus)
"Age" (Karen)
"15 this year" (Rudeus)
"Level" (Karen)
"I'm level 8 Warrior" (Rudeus)
When miss Karen heard it she stop and then stare at me
"Huh.. what do you say ? I'm not heard it clearly" (Karen)
"I'm level 8 Warrior miss Karen" (Rudeus)
"You are level 8 Warrior ?" miss Karen raise her voice and some of adventure look at us
I become nervous and said "Y, yes. Is something wrong miss Karen ?"
"Ah.. nothing. I'm sorry. I'm just shock a bit. Alright let continue" (Karen)
After that miss Karen ask a few more things like my birth, my hometown, and my parent.
"Thank you studetn Rudeus. Please wait a moment to get your adventure license and plate" (Karen)
"Sure." (Rudeus)
After a few moment miss Karen is back and give me a my adventure license and a gold plate.
"Huh..?" I'm confuse to see it
"Ahem.. I believe you are wondering why you receive a gold plate right." I nod at her and she said "Hmm.. you can say it's a privilege to the Academy student who already become level 7 Warrior and up. Unlike a new adventure, Academy student already have an experience for combat. Well I'm a bit shock before because I thought you are only level 5 or level 6 Warrior. It's so rare to see a first year student who already become more than level 7 Warrior."
"Hmm.. I see. Well thank you miss Karen." (Rudeus)
"Welcome. Oh right. The Adventure Guild glad to have you student Rudeus, no I mean Adventure Rudeus" said miss Karen with a little bow
"Thank you very much miss Karen" I nod at her
"Well I don't know what are you gonna do, but you can check quest board first. Oh right, the rewards from the quest is not a merit point but it's a money. You must remember that. Because you are a gold plate adventure you can take any quest in the quest board but you must remember that you must complete the quest in time or the guild will overcharge your quest." (Karen)
"Yes, thank you for the reminder miss Karen" (Rudeus)
I walk towards the quest board and I see a few adventure look at me weirdly. They look at my gold plate
"Hei hei hei.. What is this ? How can a kid like him has a gold plate ? This is bullsh*t" said a big man adventure with a little drunk.
I can smell the alcohol from his breath
"Chh.. I already become adventure for 3 years and I'm still not even silver plate yet and now you give a little kid with a gold plate ?" the big man become angry
I'm not saying anything and just stare at him
"Calm down. That kid probably from the Academy. It's better not to disturb him" said another adventure
"HUH...? So what ? Do you think I'm afraid just because this kid from the Academy. Hmmp.. I told you they just nothing. They think because they do a quest like adventure they are better than adventure like us. I believe all of them is just little sh*t who don't know a real fight" said the drunk man again
"Let it go. Calm down. Just leave him alone" said adventure who try to calm the situation
Because I just stare at him, seems like he getting angry. What's more miss Karen come and said "Enough. It's the guild who give adventure Rudeus a gold plate. So please step back and just do your own thing"
That drunk adventure become more angry "Cih.. what a sl*t. So what ? Hey kid do you think that I'm not dare to thrash you up because of this bit*h"
When I heard that I become angry but I just keep staring at him. Many of adventure is become a bit more angry too
"Calm down man. Just let it go. You already cross the line. Just go back" said another adventure
"Shut up!! Hahaha I believe you are afraid and piss your pant right now kid. Hahaha" said he drunk man
Maybe because I'm not say anything the drunk man want to leave but just before he turn around I yelled at him "COME!!"
Heard it he look at me and people a round dumbfound too.
"Student Rudeus ?" said miss Karen shock
"You want fight right. COME!!" I yelled at him again
"YOU.. Hmm.. seems like you still have a guts brat." the drunk man made his stance and want to attack
"COME!!" I shout and people who surround me back off because of it
The drunk man run toward me and make a punch "Argh.... Bam.."
I just standing there, I'm not even move a bit and I catch his punch with my left hand.
"Is this all you've got ?" I said to him and he make a really shock expression because he can't pulled his hand.
Then I raise my right hand then punch him lightly.
"BOOM...!!"
he fly over 10 meters and broke a few chairs and table until he hit a wall.
All the people who surrounded us shock and afraid. They back off even further.
I stare at the drunk man a few second and said "Seems like you are not strong at all. Hmm.. What a trash!!"
Then I bow to miss Karen and said "I'm sorry miss Karen I will pay for the damage property."
"Sigh.. it's fine student Rudeus. I will talk to Guild Master about it." (Karen)
"I see. thank you then miss Karen. Oh right, just call me Rudeus please. It sound weird for you to called me student Rudeus when I already become adventure." (Rudeus)
"Alright then, Rudeus" (Karen)
I nod at her and then walk walks towards the quest board.
All the adventure look at me and give away when I walk.
"This is the first day I become adventure. It's kinda exciting" I thought
