A Game?

"What is this?!" Right now there was a floating screen in front of Typhon. It looked like something right out of a game.

"The thing that is flying around in your vision is called the 'menu' I think you have already heard about it." That was right, growing up Typhon went through many books. Everyone thought that he was just looking at the pictures.

He has seen some stuff related to the 'menu' everyone can open it at the age of 6 but not many can use it. If one can, they will be assigned a class and create their own adventure. (1 in 5 had the system.)

Typhon nodded in agreement. "There are no books in this mansion that has anything written about the true system in it. So, its normal for you to be shocked at this."

Out of nowhere the teacher started laughing, the dude was making Typhon more and more annoyed. "Your age is 6, you can read and use the language clearly. And not to mention your 'menu' is still floating. Most children can't make their 'menus' appear again until they are 14" Looking at Typhon with the corner of his eye. 'Maybe he really is a genius that this family was expecting.'

'No wonder the king asked me to check up on him.' Zil took out some books from his bag and said. "Alright, we will start from the advanced class."

Typhon was greatly excited about this whole 'system' thingy. "And you name?" He still did not know this creep's name. "Just call me Zil."

And with this Typhon finally started learning something new.

But the first few classes did not go as Typhon expected. "Ugh, all you have been teaching me is history!" Before starting the real lessons, Zil started teaching Typhon about the history of magic. He was interested in that stuff as well and all but. He wanted to do something with the 'system'

In his past life, after leaving the business life he was in love with 2 things, gambling and gaming. He was a huge MMORPG lover.

"It is important to learn the history behind everything." And with that a little slap hit Typhon's cheeks. Every time he behaved like a kid he would get slapped by the wind.

***************************************

So far Typhon has learned about the class types in this world. Around here you don't chose the class, class choses you (lol).

There are tons of classes. For example if we take the ones that we know from everyday games, we have warriors, rangers, mages. But in this world there are a lot more. For example again, a blacksmith, a great chef, a believer*. (There are many roles into one: Warrior-> Knight, Paladin, Berserk.)

**************************

*Sigh* Zil knew that kids his age wont do anything unless they get a little bit of something they want. "If you want to learn about the 'system' that much," He raised his hand and a huge book came flying into the room. "Here take this, everything about the system can be found in this book. But its hard to read. way above your level."

Typhon took the floating book, and surprisingly it was lighter than it looked. it was a huge book that had some 'divine' logos on it. "Can I really have this?" Typhon asked since the book looked as if it costed more than billions.

Zil smiled and replied. "Of course, everyone in the royal family has one, so you own this book." Typhon did not think about it much before, but it looks like he is from a strong/important family. Well he could not care less.

If this world really is like a game, then he was going to run away from the mansion and start his new journey in this world, and it was going to be ten times better than his past life. All he lacked was power at the moment.

**********************

After a while the class ended and Typhon rushed into his room with the huge book in his hands.

"Can't wait to learn from this book." He jumped on top of the bed and opened the book.

At first there was no words, and pictures. Typhon thought that he was scammed. He focused a little more on the book, and somehow words started to appear on top of the pages.

"What a weird book, well at least there is something that I can read now." Before starting Typhon went through every page he noticed that once he cleared a whole page (made everything visible) they did not vanish. So he decided to clear every page.

But it was harder than he thought. "What the-... I feel tired." Typhon was not even halfway into the book, he passed out. Without knowing that someone was watching him.

"His way of thinking is out of this world, and to think that he was able to unlock the book in the first place." Zil was talking to a shadow that was floating next to him. "Right, my king?"

*******************

The next day.

For some reason every class of Typhon was canceled, he was told that a special teacher was coming to visit him.

He went to the kitchen of the mansion after getting bored of waiting. He opened the back door of the kitchen and came rushing in.

People in here played different games everyday, "I wonder what they are playing today?" He came closer to the table and saw them playing card games. A fire was lit in his eyes.

"Young master you should not be here!" A maid jumped out of her seat. "Why? I always watch you guys play though." *Sigh* "This game is not meant for kids." The maid knew that he could not just ask the owner of the mansion to get out, so she was going to take the game away.

"Uncle Max, wanna play a round?" Typhon asked.

This 'uncle Max' was the head chef in the mansion. He made great dishes out of little ingredients.

"Kid, you know how to play this game?" Almost everyone started laughing.

Typhon took his golden necklace off, "Turn this into chips. I will be playing."

For a few seconds there was a silence in the room.

"Y-young master..." One of the maids tried taking him away. "Alright lets play, but you keep the necklace." Max took a few chips from the box and gave them to Typhon.

"So, what are we playing? Typhon asked. "Just some old school 'Mina.'

Typhon did not know a single sh*t about that game. "Do you want me to teach you? Max asked, "Nah, I will learn it by myself."

"I can't believe we are doing this." 3 More people sat down on the table. "Alright let us start."

[Notification: Game of "Hold 'Em" has started]
