The She-wolf & Vampire Hunter

Esme stopped after turning into another alley, pulling Leo against the wall as she did so. Leo looked at her questionably, then glanced at their surroundings. Unlike the she-wolf, the vampire hunter did not have some crazy hearing. The only thing he could rely on was his training and possibly instincts.

By now, the pair had led these spies down multiple streets, leading towards the 'rougher' side of Chester, where Esme used to live. Esme expected them to make a move or to trap them, but they didn't. Maybe they really were just going to report to their master, but that was also not going to happen. Whoever they were, whatever they were, would not be leaving Chester alive.

Isana growled in response to Esme's thoughts, making her chest rumble slightly. Leo looked at her, and she smirked. He seemed startled but not enough to lose focus.

"Do you have any weapons on you?" Esme asked as she unsheathed her knife from behind her.
