Tartarus
Gabriel watched as the grass became dead and lifeless once more, the ground turning black with cracks revealing the orange glow of volcanic lava beneath. The lava that belongs to the lands of Tartarus. The earth was dirtying his chiton and scraping at the back of his legs, the burning on his skin more than likely from the lava beneath the ground than any pain of the grazes on his calves. The pain was one that had also been numbed down.
Neither God spoke for the duration of the walk towards the volcano. Both were lost in their mourning over Nyx, although Gabriel's vision almost went white in anger at the idea of Erebus mourning over her. He was the reason for all of it. He killed her and let her go to the mortal world by herself, and not just that but cursed her as well.
