A dinner night 1/2

Throughout the three days I had to wait for, I had seen Mark a few more times while I was in town grabbing some much needed things. Along with checking places that are good for a dinner date night, I came across one place called the Iron Grill, I heard it's a very nice place for a dinner night, so I went with it as the place for the dinner date.

The morning of the day comes, I feel nervous about tonight, sure I'm unsure of how things will go but I must remain strong in what I'm doing. After telling myself to be strong I head into the dinning room, where I see my grandfather sitting there with a book in his hand, and a coffee on the table.

"Good morning Daniel, so what are you going to do before tonight?" The plan for the day was to go off to a clothes shop to get myself a suit, so telling him this I see him sip at his coffee some more, "well then if we are gonna do that, then I have the perfect shop for us to head to then, so after your done eating breakfast let's get going to the shop."

Once I finish my simple breakfast of toast and a coffee, I head back into my room to change into something simple, once I finish doing that, I head off with my grandfather into town to check out this clothing shop he talked about.

While the ride into town was nice, I couldn't help but think to myself that I was finally getting the opertunity to go out with Rebekah. Imagining her across from me, with her blonde hear up, her blue eyes complimented by her cloths, it makes me think so much, and so long about it, that without knowing we had already entered town.

Finally we arrive at a old looking shop, called Dress & Tie, the place looks very old fashioned, but if grandfather trusts the place there's no reason I shouldn't trust it. When I walk in the old fashioned theme keeps with it the stuff is all assorted on stands. The sound of footsteps come from the back room, once the person reaches the door way, I can finally see the person who was making those foot steps.

"Hello welcome to my store, how may I help you?" The person saying that is around maybe grandfather's age, with a cigarette in his mouth he puffs out a small smoke cloud, then he see my grandfather, "hey long time William, so what are you doing here today?"

"Well my grandson here needs a good suit for tonight, you think you got any for him?" When he looks me up and down, I can see his eyes assessing everything about me, then he snaps his fingers with a smile on his face, "I got you, just give me a few minutes to go get it."

The moment he disappears into the back room, I ask my grandfather who that person is, "his name is Randel, I found him as a bush two years after I had joined the military, he's good at blending in, along with making clothes."

"The man has been working this shop ever since twenty-five years ago, when the first war between the People's Republic of Labronsk, and The Empire of Arduel came to an end." The way he says it, it makes it sound like he remembers those memories of his as if they were just yesterday, even if they were from twenty-five years ago. Unfortunately I'm unable to ask any more questions, because at that moment, Randel comes back from wherever he went.

When I see the suit he's holding, I'm surprised as to how great it looks. The black suit has a gold design of a dragon as part of the wrist cuffs, on top of the whole suit being made out a silky like fabric, I catch a glimpse of more gold slick detailed on the collar of the suit.

When I look at the price my brain nearly stops working, "um sir Randel, this price isn't correct, is it?" When he looks at me, and then at the tag, he laughs a little bit then takes a breath, "what can't afford one thousand three hundred credit?" The amount is insane, but for its looks alone it's well worth the price.

After I tell him that I would like to try it on before I purchase it, he allows me to use the changing room. Once I finally get the suit on, I go back up front to show it to my grandfather, to see what he thinks of it.

When I step into view of both Randel and my grandfather, they both look at me in the suit, then after a minute of looking me up and down they smile. "That looks good on you boy, it goes well with your look, your eyes, your hair, everything, now still going to get it or no?"

Once he's done talking I also look at myself in the mirror, I do have to agree that my silvery white hair, along with my eyes being that of a deep blue color do go fairly well with the suit. Once I'm done looking at the suit on me in the mirror, I decide that it's time to purchase the suit.

Once I pay for it with a check he looks at me again while I'm still wearing it, "not gonna take it off?" After shaking my head no, I suspect that he took a guess as to why I was wearing it, as I see a smile soon after on his face.

With everything out of the way, I see myself out, with my grandfather following behind me. Once we are out the door, I can see my grandfather reach into his pocket, and soon after I see the car keys. "Well you gonna follow, or am I gonna be driving off back home?"

Swiftly saying that I would accept a ride made my grandfather happy. Once in the car, I hear the engine of it turn on, after that my grandfather turns towards me, "so where is the place that I'm heading too?" Remembering I had written it down on some paper, I pull out the name of the restaurant, along with the location of the restaurant written on the paper.

"The Iron Grill, that's a good place for a first date, but it's not the first place I would have gone for, I would have gone for a place called Shine & Dine." The name of Shine & Dine sounds familiar, but I remember that I put it down on my list, however I had crossed it out later on, because I found out that the prices of the food there is expensive.

Once my grandfather puts the car into drive, as we start the drive to the Iron Grill, I begin to feel nervous, this feeling of uncertainty, as if I'm going to mess something up. When I start to feel the sweat, it just makes me feel even more nervous about what could happen, "you look tense Daniel, lighten up, or else whatever your thinking about will happen."

The feeling disappears slowly, he is right, being nervous isn't what is needed right now, what I need to be thinking of is possible positive things. After a few more minutes, my head is clear of nervousness, and now what has replaced it is for me, and Rebekah to just have a nice first date together.
