31 Scholarship

Bai Li's plan wouldn't come to much action, his power as of now was too weak to do anything and he beared little to no connections to help him out in crisis. But that was all the more better for him to enact his revenge. All he can do is to wait for the perfect moment to strike. His power at the moment was very much dormant, his power is slowly rising which would help in varieties of problems.

'I guess it's time to head back.'

Bai Li had finished up his travels and received everything else in return, he decided to burn the books as knowledge in the wrong hands can spark anything. The books were easily burnt and it was now all ashes, he had gained a strong mentality and memorized the books, unless they use forbidden or government techniques to draw them out, none would know unless he were to openly announce that he had prior knowledge of another realm.

He headed off to the house Fire Axe and the rest were staying for a short while. They all had families along with themselves so when they are working, they tend to rent another place for them to not cause any worry from their wives.

Fire Axe gave the nod as the time duration was only up for another two weeks and it was Bai Li's choice to go back or not.

He had long ago already acquired enough to be a Peak tier Novice and only needed to do the examination to graduate.

From there he would be able to take four paths. One was to work for the government in the military, which would be rather dangerous fighting in the frontlines against the Shikan Dominion. Second path was to become a mercenary who provide their services for cash, they were given more freedom than the military but rising one's rank was hard and joining a team unknown to them might cause team issues since nobody knows one another. Third was to freelance, a common choice by everyone in the Union, as they had could just go by themselves or join small groups to do so. But that route gave little to no connection such as the Mercenary Organization and the Union government. And the last was to be a paid servant to a rich corporation, similar to that of Mo Tian's bodyguards. All suffered the same difficulty in handling beasts as they had usually more physique than average warriors on their own level.

Mo Tian had most likely received beast souls from the ape trio and enrichment solutions, at that point he'd be very similar in power to Bai Li, who through hard work matched one who does very little.

Bai Li packed up all his belongings, took a shower, and washed his clothes. He was packed and ready to head back to the academy.

He greets the two Peak tier Warriors who guard the gate and went on through, renting a gazelle for personal travel.

He presented his visa and got in through.

The same head of the dragon glared at all its current onlookers as it looked down upon everything in its path.

"Oh, you're back."

Bai Li cupped his hands.

"Master Khu Bei."

"I've received the reports from Fire Axe, is it true you helped and landed the final strike on a Saint blood creature?"

"I dare not lie to you."

Khu Bei, whose aura was always unwelcoming became bright.

"You have a bright future ahead of you, work hard and don't slow down."

Khu Bei was merely transmitting his voice to his mind, a technique necessary in groups to allow quick and long distance cooperation.

"Thank you for your words of wisdom."

He smiled, he paid no heed to any of his friends, Wei Tao was most likely flirting with women and working hard, Bai Li didn't want to tread further on his matter and went towards the great hall for his graduation.

The room was different than the rest, the Berat layers were thick and compressed, leaving small streaks of purple between the layers of the floor and ceiling. A console was placed right in the middle with multiple screens in a circular pattern showing multiple screens, the moment he presses the button, it would most likely enclose to activate.

The whole protocol was automated so nobody was in the room for the moment. A large blue ray started at the end of the room, slowly encompassing Bai Li's whole body, calculating the strength of the user and pay no heed of others, though achievements were also some factors in the method after graduating the Golden Cadet Academy as it gives them a portfolio to large organizations to potentially higher you. It seems Bai Li was a top student, a board of organizations usually oversee any procedures of the graduation method. Directors of the Union, the Mercenary Organization, and selected powerhouses that are much more private than the rest, had the ability to personally notify the graduate they want them in their programs.

Several notifications showed on a console in the graduating platform.

It was miraculous for a student to receive just one, he had gain two entries. One from Angel Corp, an organization focused on real estate in several space sectors and the Union.

Students walking outside around the graduation saw lights above the door, showing the level of their graduation, many were left in awe to see two lights.

"Can you believe it! Someone actually gained two reccomendations."

"Is it malfunctioning? How is that possible?"

At that point, a small crowd was accumulating and people using the chat function on their cards began swarming around.

Bai Li did not know what was happening outside of the door as it was made of sound proof material.

He denied both, since they were given strict procedures in their trainings and had little to no freedom.

But what came was odd was that a third light appeared.

Outside the room was utterly insane, the two lights soon became red, which meant that they had chosen, green was the selected, and red was the denied organizations. Both of the lights were red.

"Who is that dumb to deny them!"

They were literally biting at their sleeves to see if it was a dream or not, that just meant that they lost an opportunity to become part of the largest organization known to date!

It was an uproar of what was happening.

The third light wasn't present on the door so they had no knowledge of it, only Bai Li saw it.

[You were chosen to be part of the Bright Star League.]

"No thanks"

[Consider it a great privil-WHAT?!]

[Ehem, who is that crazy....oh, of course! You probably lived under a rock and don't know about us. We are an organiza-]

"I know what you guys are, no thanks."

The Bright Star League was a secret organization bent on gathering the geniuses of generation together, they're very anonymous with their actions and were raised as a program by all the board directors, one could see that it has higher power than the Union, but that much is hard to believe by itself.

[Why are you denying a place where the brightest are gathered?]

The person behind the text was flabbergasted and very emotional with his words.

"It's just that I want more time to myself, I don't want to be with others all too much."

Bai Li was very straightforward with his request, he was most likely leaning towards freelancing as it would give him much more room to walk.

[You're missing a great opportunity for yourself, but consider yourself lucky!]

The texting all stopped which meant that it ended abruptly.

Bai Li didn't know what the man was up to but cared little for the changes.

He started heading out, but as he opened the door, it was ripped away from him, smething he wouldn't expect.

Groups of teachers, Khu Bei, and several students were all outside.

"Are you crazy?! Are you out of your mind?!"

"Huh? What?"

Bai Li was oblivious on why the whole group was mad.
