Chapter 2: The Reincarnated Fox Girl

As I opened my eyes I noticed the place I reincarnated in was a cave with an altar.. I looked at my feet, it was white with fur and I now realize I am a baby fox with white hair.. And I have 3 tails!? Why do I have 3 tails?? Anyways as I ponder I try speaking and saying quietly,

'What's does this altar do and what's my status down here is there even oxygen?'

What? Origin Ancestor? Does that mean I am a unique species? Wait how did that even show me what it means? I have to figure out something..

Kin create..? Its a weird skill.. I'm level 1 but I have so many skills and also that weird named skill is not even in the system?

How can I even use it even though I am in the system? Is it something you have to say like appraisal? I'll try to figure it out like appraisal..

As I expected it wont work.. It was worth a try though, but what about the other skills like Kin create? It seems like I can create..my children? It seems weird to say and it's really embarrassing.. Should I try it?

Another fox that looks like me but has 1 tail appears..

"Umm.. hello?"

It looked similar to me but the size is half.. It seems like if I increase my mana it grows bigger.. But it's so cute!! I want to squeeze it!

"Ah that's right you need a name! Umm.. how about Kimi?"

Does it like it? I thought that was a bad name since it's not really creative, I guess I'll go with it.

"Now I just need to go find food.."

Ah I think I activated「Kin Dominate」I wonder if Kimi is going to be okay since he's so tiny..

Kimi came back with over a dozen bats and I was flabbergasted, is he powerful? Wait how did he do it so fast? Am I hallucinating? Impossible, I touched them and I can feel the bat's skin..

I point at Kimi with my paw and activate the appraisal skill, "Status"

Her experience points were shared with me and any skills my kin got, I acquired also. The same thing happens when I kill something, the experience will be shared with my kin. So now I am level 2 on me and all my skills except what I acquired, Hardened claws was level 1 since it is brand new. I also got a boost on my attributes.

As I walked to find the exit and on the way fighting bats and goblins who were around the range of 200~500 HP, leveling up to lvl 9 and finally finding the exit which took about a week, I realized I didn't have to eat anything but my kin still has to. It might be because I was an Original Ancestor, due to this I have gotten into a habbit of giving the corpses of the monsters I killed in the cave to my kin.

After getting out of the cave was a dense forest full of trees, no towns nearby because of the monsters coming out of the cave either.

I walk around trying to find any human village but I only found an abandoned village but I encounter the biggest threat I've seen since leaving the cave, it was an ogre, a green giant and an evolution of the hobgoblins I encountered at the cave.

I say "Status" while pointing at the ogre,

It was a tank and it specialized in defense and strength. If I needed to beat this guy I would need enough mana to use magic, unfortunately I don't have any yet because I have been focusing on using my claws.

I found an skeleton with earth magic and easily killed it with my claws, honestly I still don't like the feeling of mauling monster unmercifully, I feel as though my humanity is fading away everyday since I got reincarnated. If I maul down a monster I no longer hesitate compared to 1 week ago when I was still hesitating even though my life was endangered when I was being attacked. I haven't checked my status though.. I now have 5 kin which grew bigger as big as my old size, every time I level up, I get bigger now I am about 140cm tall, almost as tall as a human adult 4 of my feet to the ground. Well anyways I am going to check my status to see how much I have grown since the first time I used status.

「Appraisal LV.9」- Can view the user's own stats but can only view information about the object being appraised like attributes, name, species, gender, level, skills, and titles. [MP COST: 0]

「Sharpened Claws LV.3」- Evolved version of Hardened Claws. The beast user's claws harden and sharpen immensely when the skill is activated [MP COST: 0]

「Earth Magic LV.1」- The user can now use Basic Earth Magic spells. [MP COST: 25]

Passive skills:

「Cold Resistance LV.9」- Resistant to temperatures -90° Celsius and above.

「Presence Sensing LV.5」- Warns the user if there is danger in a 500 meter radius

「Presence Hiding LV.5」- Hides the presence of the user by 50% unless seen directly, the user can choose to hide their presence or not willingly.」

I gained 4 new skills and a skill evolved—Wait what?! Human form? How is it already at max level? Maybe its default state is at max level? So the more mana I have, the more the appearance changes? Ah ok so I have 5000 mana and that means I'll probably have a totally different appearance to my past life.. I gained a bunch of attributes because I consume all of the attributes of the monsters I kill.. But enough of that already I want to see my new human form!

I activate my human form in my mind and it worked! Wait.. I still have the same face as before! But.. My chest has grown to an adult's size.. I realize I am n-naked and go back to my fox form in my mind.

"Phew.. I guess no one saw that. I should probably get human clothes.." I mutter,

The appearance was similar to that of my past life but with more feminine features and white hair, white colored eyes and pure white nails. I would need to get some clothes before I can switch to a human form, the fox body was also faster than the human form obviously but I could do more precise movements using the human body.

Then the next order of business is earth magic. Whenever you get a magic skill it give you visions of the magic and I can utilize the earth magic like an expert. The only thing I can do is basic spells though. I'll try some spells on creatures to find out how good level 1 earth magic is.

"[Earth Wall]!"

An earth wall raises from the ground and stops at a certain height, I test out how durable the walls are by giving it a simple claw slash with my 「Sharpened Claws」skill, it holds up but is terribly damaged and probably won't survive another slash. If normal monsters were up against this, they won't leave any dents other than scratches. This was a good defense because it only used up 25 mana. I them tried other magic like [Pebble Bullet] that can pierce through a tree, [Quagmire] which turns the ground into mud. That was about it for Earth Magic, The other passive skills were useful for hunting monsters, as I leveled up to level 10, I got an pop-up saying,

「Nameless has now fulfilled the requirements to evolve, would Nameless like to evolve? Options: YES // NO」

If I evolve will my kin also evolve? I wonder if this was safe to do since it was the first time I had gotten this pop-up but I was wondering if I should reincarnate, I didn't understand why I hesitated until I was given an time limit but it was really, a good decision. I think and came up with an answer,
