CHAPTER 5:

"Where has the princess gone? What trial do you speak of now?" The advisor to Amek was asked as he approached his majesty in the meeting hall. The officials fell silent as they waited for an answer from the advisor.

"Sir it's part of our traditions to let the next heavenly fox, receive their solitude to train to transform in our ritual, which has lasted in our generation for a thousand years. Sire, your daughter was caught in an unforgivable act which cannot be slipped aside, not even by the elders."

"What was so unholy that my daughter...that even I could not be informed about what was supposed to be happening to my own daughter. She is turning a thousand years old in a year, she needs to go through our normal rituals, why is she in the mortal realm?" Lord Agustus asked as he stood up to pace around his throne.

"If you must know my Lord, your daughter, our rightful heir to the throne, at first became rebellious and refused the ways of our people and we had tried not to trouble his majesty with such news so we kept it among the officials. A few months ago, we discovered her, in the mortal realm, carrying a mortal child in her womb. Of course, we couldn't let it pass, and judgement was passed."

The Lord stood up furious and pulled out his sword from its sythe pointing it towards Liuthus, his very well known advisor, his right hand through rule.

"Liuthus, only I can pass judgement in my own empire! My daughter is not one to disobey and defy our traditions, you still haven't my question, why is she in the mortal realm? why?!"

The officials, kneeling looked panicked as the Lord glared down at them, Lithius, looked up at him and cleared his throat before lowering to bow as his head touched the floor.

"There was a prophesy, that worried us, My Lord." He said as Agustus sat back on his silver throne.

"What more of this none sense am I supposed to take Lithius, my daughter is an heir to a throne she will son be taking!! She doesn't need any of this., especially when she's about to be queen. What prophesy?"

"Sire, we met a shaman who entered the castle and we had trouble chasing her out, however she said she had seen the princess' future. of coarse, we were perplexed and tried to get her out, however she started to talk anyway. She stated that there was darkness in the girl, she would not only be a celestial being but also part of the great order. She has the power of our first ancestors, sire she could be the first to join human and fox spirits, she just doesn't know how, your daughter is the key to restoring peace among us and mortals."

"What are you saying?! My daughter is the chosen divinity? Are you certain? Her mother died as she was trying to tell me something, but I never understood, none of my close relatives knew of this, Liuthus, you better be sure of what you speak of." His majesty said as he stretched his neck.

I have served the imperial linage for generations awaiting the rightful heir, and her late majesty knew, because she was given the same prophesy although it isn't complete." The lord leaned forward as his right hand man spoke more.

"We all know that a celestial fox has golden fur and can serve in the palace of the moon and the sun, however your daughter was only born with the sun's seed."

"Get to the point." His majesty commanded.

"The moon is to be served by one from the mortal realm, a trustworthy soul that can rule by her side. One who was born with the mark of a talisman." Everyone in the room gasped as he was done talking they had never heard of this, human with their talisman? The princess was going to have to make a fine choice.
