As we set out on our second mission as a team, I could feel the weight of the task ahead of us. This was a B class mission, and the target was a rogue ninja who was once a jonin from Kumogakure. The fact that he was a former jonin meant he was highly skilled and dangerous. The mission was to hunt him down and bring him to justice.
Tokutchi, our sensei, briefed us on the mission with his usual calm and composed demeanor. He informed us that he would take on the rogue jonin himself, leaving the three of us - Aya, Sado, and myself - to face three chunins and two genins who were working with him. It was clear that Tokutchi had confidence in our abilities, but I couldn't help feeling a mix of nerves and excitement.
As we made our way to the country of Tea, I couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation. The air was tense with the knowledge that we were going up against skilled and dangerous adversaries. Yet, I also felt a sense of camaraderie with my teammates. We had been through training together, and I knew we could rely on each other.
After hours of tracking, we finally located the rogue ninja and his group in a secluded clearing. Tokutchi gave us the signal to surround the enemy, and we split up to take our positions. I found myself on higher ground, ready to engage the enemy from a distance with my kenjutsu and earth style ninjutsu.
Tokutchi made the first move, attacking the rogue jonin head-on. The clearing erupted into chaos as Aya unleashed her explosive release kekkai genkai, creating powerful explosions that disoriented the chunins and genins. It was my cue to act.
As the chunin approached, my heart pounded in my chest. I knew I had to be smart and strategic to defeat them. I gripped my katana tightly and took a deep breath, steadying myself for the battle ahead.
The first chunin charged at me with incredible speed, aiming a powerful punch. I reacted quickly, stepping to the side and countering with a kick. However, he deftly blocked my attack and retaliated with a swift strike of his own. I managed to dodge, but the force of the blow sent me stumbling backward.
I knew I couldn't let my guard down for a second. As the chunin continued his assault, I activated my earth style ninjutsu. Slamming my hands onto the ground, I called upon the earth's power to create a protective barrier around me. The chunin's attacks were now met with the sturdy defense of the earth wall, giving me a moment to breathe and plan my next move.
While I held my ground, the second chunin used the distraction to launch a barrage of lightning-based ninjutsu at me. The crackling bolts of lightning illuminated the battlefield as they streaked towards me. I focused my chakra, and with a swift hand sign, I created a swirling vortex of earth and wind to deflect the lightning attacks away from me.
With the chunin momentarily surprised, I saw my opportunity to strike. I dashed forward, my katana glinting in the sunlight, and unleashed a series of rapid slashes. The chunin's skillful taijutsu allowed him to block most of my attacks, but I could sense that he was starting to tire.
As the battle continued, I could feel my own energy waning. I had to be careful not to overexert myself, but I was determined to win. Drawing on my training and instincts, I focused on exploiting the chunin's weaknesses and finding openings in their defense.
Once he was taking a moment to catch a breath I enveloped both the chunin with my new seal "Earthbound Illusion Seal".The Earthbound Illusion Seal creates an incredibly realistic and convincing illusion that appears to be an actual physical object or living being. The illusion is so seamless that it can deceive even experienced shinobi. When an opponent comes into contact with the sealed object, they become trapped in the genjutsu, experiencing various illusions tailored to their fears or weaknesses.
As the chunins were bound on the illusion Aya launched a explosive punch on second chunin while I pierced the heart of the first chunin with a decisive strike.
As we regrouped Tokutchi sensei just came back with the enemy jonins body in a sealing scroll and he asked us to get all the dead bodies into the sealing scroll. Tokutchi sensei doesn't even sweat I don't know true strength of him till now. Aya gave me a scroll in which contains the kenjutsu technique of a kumo shinobi. Spoils of war I guess. I thanked her and we returned to the village.
