Chapter 37 : Duty and Decisions

Missael’s POV

We watched as Eleonore had to hurry to catch up to Lillian so she could be led back to her room while we had to go meet with our father. It felt like an attack that he chose NOW of all times for us to meet.

It had been so long since we’d been able to spend time with Eleonore so none of us appreciated having that messed with.

Gael had actually put a lot of work into setting up that dinner and Lillian just casually helped ruin it. Worse, I don’t think she felt guilty about it.

I don’t know if Gael was acting oblivious or not, but Lillian had been burning a torch for him for him for years. I wasn’t sure when it started, they’d been just friends before fooling around and causing trouble.

While Gael kept to mischief though, Lillian sort of sobered up to it, but seemed to come to like Gael more than just a friend. It was probably for a number of reasons but one of the main reasons was that he respected Lillian.
