Hummingbird broach (Summers perspective)

Sadly, I won't be able to see Drift today but I'm going to be meeting Hazel instead. You see, I know that me and Drift have feelings for each other but when I talked to Laverne I wasn't sure how to think. Laverne made me cry so I want to see if he had a reason, because if he liked Hazel the same way I like Drift then he would be a complete hypocrite. I'm not saying I'd want to take revenge or anything but simple curiosity... ok fine, I guess i might get a little annoyed...

I usually go in the Autumn gardens with Drift anyway so I know the way there of by heart.

Drift had told me previously that on a particular Monday morning Hazel would take a stroll in her gardens and would take her favourite book to read.

I patiently waited for her to arrive, meanwhile I fiddled with the hummingbird broach that Drift gave to me as a present. The long diamond beak always caught my attention. It was hand made by Drift. He had always been amazing at woodwork and he had carved out the bird, painted it and stuck on little gems and things that he had found.
