Selection Test

[It's still quite a unique sensation for me to witness the entrance of various clans into our university..... It seems that a distinct sense of excitement will accompany our newcomers as we embark on the beginning of this new academic year. [It appears that the new faces I'm observing today will significantly influence our Power ranking system.... I can't help but feel excited, particularly since some of these newcomers hail from prominent lineages and families, hehe.... ]

[Ahem... This is indeed embarrassing, and I ask for everyone's forgiveness for having forgotten such a crucial announcement, especially for our freshmen... Today, we will be conducting the Selection process for all newcomers, and this is where you will discover the department to which you will be assigned.]

[For those who might not be familiar with the various departments available, allow me to explain them to you now...The departments or groups within our school are divided into six categories. Within these categories, you could find yourself placed in Class D, Class C, Class B, or Class A...and Lastly, the Class S+....

However, the most prestigious and privileged class that only the most exceptional students can attain is Class S+. But before you can become a part of it, you truly need to be exceptional, hehehe.... I'm eagerly looking forward to finding out how many among the 356 freshmen today will be fortunate enough to be placed in Class S+..... ]

[....Many aspire to join Class S+ because students in this class have a significantly higher chance of ranking among our top-power students....

They are referred to as 'privileged students,' a title that not only sounds impressive but also entails holding all the privileges that students can possibly enjoy..... However, good luck!, as based on my knowledge of privileged class members, they can be quite unfriendly, hahaha....

Yet, being part of the privileged class gives them the right to be somewhat arrogant. Nevertheless, it's essential to keep your composure, especially considering that many students look up to you and aspire to claim your position. So, those who become members of this elite group should never become overly complacent at any time, hahahaha...]

[..Before I proceed, ... there are five other classes apart from Class S+ that you can potentially belong to...

Starting with Class A, it's the next prestigious class after Class S+. Being in Class A means you're part of a strong class, and if you don't make it to a privileged class, it signifies that you rank second in terms of strength... However, if you manage to strengthen yourselves for a few months or defeat a Class S+ student, you can still ascend to this class.]

[Now, moving on to Class B, ..... it's the third-strongest class, and it's not a bad place to be at all..... Like Class A students, if they manage to become strong and defeat a privileged student, they are welcomed into Class S+. However, they still need to surpass the Class A students first, so good luck! hahaha...]

[...Class C, on the other hand, ..... well, they're mostly students who aren't the worst when it comes to their abilities but are still considered inferior compared to the previously mentioned classes. Of course, every class has the potential to produce privileged students, but in Class C, you'll often find students from minor clans, and they usually have fewer opportunities to rise in class..... But don't worry; I'm not trying to discourage anyone from minor clans.... While they may not be the worst, unlike the earlier classes, they won't have access to the best and most complete facilities deserving of their class..... In Class C, it's still decent, but the quality of facilities may vary.]

[..And last but certainly not the least, hehe... this is indeed the least favorable section.... Unlike Class C, where you might still get somewhat decent facilities, here in Class D, you'll find that they are quite lacking.

But I'm not trying to discourage anyone from ending up here because I know that there will still be students who stand out and make their way into the stronger classes.... . So, I'm hoping for the best for everyone. But before you find out which class you'll be in, you can head to the gym now for our selection process. Good luck!]

This power ranking system is undoubtedly intriguing.

I couldn't help but smile, although I noticed an unfamiliar student in front of me who suddenly froze, and an expression of fear on her face.

This surprised me, but I didn't want to make an enemy out of anyone here, so I gave her a friendly smile.

Nevertheless, the student quickly moved away, about five meters from me, and turned her back, seemingly eager to leave.

In doing so, I couldn't help but wonder, "What's wrong with that girl? I'm just trying to offer her a friendly smile, so why does she seem frightened?" I mean, I don't think my smile is that bad, right?

If someone were to see me now, all they'd probably see is a big question mark on my face due to my puzzlement.

But then, I decided to brush aside that question in my mind. I realized that maybe my smile just doesn't suit me, and it's something I've come to accept.

Even back when I was part of my clan, some of my relatives used to tell me that my smile looked creepy.

So, as I pondered this, I reverted to my usual expression, the one I'm accustomed to.

Sigh...
