Mathias laughed at Zayne instructing him to move quietly. He was close to spitting on Zayne's shoes to show how much he disliked him.

Mathias unsheathed his sword just as Zayne did. "That's not going to happen. See, that woman over there pissed off someone in a high position and I have been tasked to get rid of her. There are more women around the kingdom for you to play with. Find someone else."

Mathias didn't need someone else telling him about embracing he was once sold. Zayne could only judge him because he was never in that position. "You don't get to tell us about what to do.
