A Mysterious Mercenary

---- Manila Area, At the Condominium where Julius Scaver stays----

"Sir, we received information that the person you sent to monitor Mr. Sanchez's house was found dead, not far from the gate of the house," reported an investigator-like subordinate of Julius Scaver. "Tsk," Julius responded irritably to the morning news he received. "And sir, apart from that, there was writing found next to your man's body," the investigator added, explaining the words as if he were being warned by someone using the signature "The Fool" in the victim's own blood. Julius grabbed a glass of expensive liquor, took a sip, and then threw it violently on the floor. He was seething with anger upon hearing the news.

"What the hell are these useless cops doing?" Julius yelled in frustration and anger. He grabbed his cellphone and immediately dialed the number of the police head officer he had paid off to investigate the case. As soon as the call was answered, Julius unleashed a torrent of strong curses and anger at the police officer he had contacted. He couldn't contain his rage and was growing increasingly irritated because he couldn't find a single lead about the person they called The Fool. Furthermore, in an inexplicable way, he felt like The Fool knew something about his actions at Mr. Sanchez's house, Katherine's father. He had a sense that this could become a major scandal for him as a senator if news of it got out.

He threatened the police officers that if they couldn't find out who The Fool was or if it was an organization, he would stop supporting and giving money to the police. He also mentioned that he would have the useless officers removed from their ranks. Those were Julius's final words before ending the call.

Meanwhile, in the police headquarters, the police officer who received Julius's call was stunned and nervous. He had no idea what to do because they had no leads in the case they were investigating. It seemed like a ghost suddenly appearing, with no trace to follow in their search.

He called one of his subordinates and asked for any reports related to their ongoing investigation. When the officer arrived and presented his report, he mentioned that they still hadn't found any leads on The Fool. He added that many people were active on social media, considering The Fool a savior of the underprivileged against abusive individuals who escaped justice through legal means.

Furthermore, the officer noted that after Red Scaver's death was reported a few days ago, it seemed like some criminals had become afraid, and crime rates had slightly decreased. He reported this with a hint of a smile, but it wasn't well-received by the higher-ups. The head officer stressed that there was nothing to celebrate because taking a life was still against the law, regardless of the circumstances.

Suddenly, A man entered the police headquarters and introduced himself as Kevin Ignacio a mercenary who claimed he could solve the police's current problems. He asserted that, no matter how unusual or challenging the cases involving the killings of prominent figures were, he was certain that they were the work of ordinary individuals. Tracking and pursuing such people was his specialty.

Before he could speak further, the police asked him how he had managed to enter their headquarters. In response, he pointed a gun at him and stated that they didn't need a mercenary to do their law enforcement duties.

After the head officer rejected Kevin's offer and pointed a gun at him, he burst into hearty laughter.

"You're pitiful," he said.

"You're pitiful because you have no idea what's happening, and you don't know the kind of people you're investigating."

In an instant, using his lightning-quick movements, Kevin disarmed the head officer and proceeded to unload all the bullets from the officer's gun, one by one.

"Don't worry. I'll finish the job that you ignorant officers couldn't," were Kevin's parting words as he left the police headquarters, leaving behind a mysterious figure who had introduced himself as a mercenary.
