chaprter 3 (Larethin Seedrun antagonist, villain)

(Larethin Seedrun POV)

"Your dinner is ready," the waiter said.

Larethin set down her phone and thanked him. Then, she stood up and went to pay for her bill. While she waited for the waiter to return, she checked her phone again. She sighed once more and looked at the screen. Still no messages from anyone. She wondered why none of her friends ever texted or called. Maybe they were busy, or maybe they just forgot to check their phones. Regardless of the reason, Larethin was sure that it wouldn't last much longer.

Before she left the restaurant, she made sure to grab one of the menus. On the back side was a map showing the different restaurants in the area. She spent a few minutes looking at them and then decided to try a new one. She liked the ambience that the restaurant provided, and she also loved their food.

As she walked into the restaurant, she noticed that there were several tables occupied. It seemed that it was already full. A few servers were roaming around, but none of them approached her. She was going to ask the hostess if there were any available seats, but then she remembered that she didn't even know the girl's name.

"Excuse me," she said, "but do you know of any open seats here?"

The hostess looked at her and shook her head.
