The Fisher: The Fallen bird, that thrives to ascend the clouds

Komba, a Rameshwaram fisherman, was reborn after his sudden death into a world where humanity resides in suspended space. In this unique world, children must fight, plunder and kill each other as they grow older for resources. Even still, only those with exceptional skills have the potential to become legendary fishing masters. Every life in the boundless sea is given a sacred purpose. There are flying fish, turtles enriched with worldly essence, and whales capable of consuming heaven and earth. Among them are countless fishermen. Fishing is considered an art form. An old proverb goes: "If you can't fish, you might as well be bait." However, Komba refused to accept this and instead sought to change the people around him, rather than changing himself to fit into that world. *** The main character may initially appear lacking in ambition, but as the story unfolds, this perception will evolve. At the start of the novel, there might be some information overload, especially in the first 50 chapters, but this will not be the case in subsequent chapters. As a new author, I may unintentionally engage in info-dumping again. Feel free to criticize and guide me to improve the story. Your feedback and opinions are valuable in shaping the narrative of this web novel. Your investment in the story is greatly appreciated. While the novel draws inspiration from (The God of Fishing), expect to see differences as the plot progresses. Avoid comparing the two, as it may highlight flaws in this book and affect your reading experience.

Undersea

'What the heck?!'

His mind went completely blank for a few moments as he saw the big tortoise retreating.

'This cannot be a coincidence. Someone is deliberately trying to take me out of here.'

But he could not figure out who could be behind it.

He vaguely remembered hearing the name Tian Xu somewhere but could not place it.

He had no idea what he could have done to anger an expert from the Expert Waterman realm to send his companion beast after him.

Regardless of the reason, he feels relieved as he watches the tortoise swim away without launching another attack.

He desperately tried to swim upwards towards the safety of the boat.

However, his relief was short-lived as he at once spotted several gigantic Predaton Bullhead fishes charging towards him at an alarming speed.

He felt like bursting into tears.

He had slaughtered many Predaton Bullhead fishes at Grandma Mu's shop, but now, seeing them underwater made him feel scared.

It seemed like they were swimming towards him to attack.

Despite being able to retreat to his safe zone and avoid the fish effortlessly, he chose not to.

Why?

Even though he was certain he had not wronged anyone, someone was out to get him for some unknown reason.

What is more, this person was much more powerful than him.

He had a feeling that if he escaped the threat at this moment, he would always have to depend on the 'red flame's space' to stay safe.

He did not want that, he wanted to survive, get stronger, and learn more about this world on his own.

'It's now or never...'

He forcefully moved his body which was petrified by the fear.

Surprisingly, his vision was particularly good in the water, and his movement.

The familiar itches appeared in the middle of his brows as he could see their muscle contraction and predict how they would attack him.

He recalled the only battle art he knew from his memory, Divergent unity fist, defensive fist art.

Qi started gathering both of his fists; the fish were only five meters away from him.

'Dammit!'

He gritted his teeth and landed a solid punch on the first Predaton Bullhead after evading sideways.

Divergent unity fist was not an offensive technique they were solely focused on defense.

The moment it landed on Predaton Bullhead, it neutralized its momentum and stopped its force.

*Plub*

The surrounding water was shaken madly by the force.

His hand felt numb, but he started to concentrate on transferring that fish into the red flame.

Sensing something wrong Predaton Bullhead tried to escape from him, but the pulling force did not let it go so, it completely vanished from his sight.

Other Predaton Bullhead fishes were startled by their companion's sudden disappearance and started circling him wearily without attacking him.

Chao Xiang was even more surprised as he sensed that red flame was greedily devouring the fish.

'It's worked!'

It was a risky move, but it worked. His fear subdued a little and he gained some confidence.

Three Predaton Bullhead fishes were looking at him warily as they circled, opening, and closing the dense sharp teeth in their mouth.

It seemed to have grown interested in him.

His heart was pounding.

He tried to calm himself down when he confronted another Predaton Bullhead, but he sensed that a shadow was darting at him from the left near his feet.

Not ignoring it, he tightened his muscles and punched in that direction.

It was another Predaton Bullhead.

*Slam*

Just as he transported that fish into the red flame another one bashed him in his chest and sent him a few meters away.

But thankfully the moment it made contact on his chest, he once again sent it to the red flame.

Seeing this the other two were scared, as they tried to get away, he grabbed their tail and sacrificed them with their companions.

Even though these fishes tried to break away from the pulling force of the red flame, they did not have the strength to do so.

He was relieved after he burned the last fish into nothingness.

Seeing that he could take care of a small group of fish all by himself, newfound confidence appeared in his heart.

He could see his boat on the surface, he could now get to his boat without any problem, but he just kept looking at the surroundings without going back.

Thanks to the Qi he sent to his eyes, he could see very clearly, and his body movement in the underwater was not awkward at all.

His body was naturally good at swimming.

He wondered whether everyone who lives in this world has such an incredible swimming talent in this world.

Even still he saw in the distance a lot of dangerous-looking fish, but he did not go away at once to the boat.

He felt like he could hold his breath for another twenty minutes.

'Even if there is something dangerous under the sea, I have a red flame with me.'

He made up his mind.

He did not want to go to the boat.

Chao Xiang swam downward to the undersea...

He clearly remembered Grandma Mu's warning about not ever casting a hook under five meters under the sea as a lot of dangerous fishes were there.

He wanted to see them with his own eyes, how they live in the sea.

Chao Xiang continued to descend deeper into the ocean, feeling the increasing pressure.

Along the way, he met many Black Krurcal and Silverfishes.

They swam around him curiously but posed no threat.

Chao Xiang did not bother attacking them since they did not seem dangerous.

After a few minutes, he spotted a coral and swam towards it.

As he approached, he was amazed by the breathtaking sight of the ocean floor.

It was covered in vibrant crimson coral that stretched for miles, accompanied by several types of shells.

Clams were opening and closing, large mussels were peacefully resting, and half-meter-long red crabs cautiously saw him with their pincers raised.

The long tentacles of sea anemones gracefully waved in the water.
