Surrounded by long curtains, Zahra stood before Yuden, looking into his eyes. Although there was daylight, the curtains turned the area dark, hence, a few garland white lights were placed on the curtains.
Zahra was forced to meet him against her will because of a tradition.
The groom had to offer a gift to his would-be wife before the wedding. Then, the bride would need to use that gift on the couple's first night, no matter what it was.
Zahra found that ritual absurd. She wasn't pleased to know about it at all. She didn't want anything coming from Yuden, much less a wedding gift.
Yuden couldn't take his eyes off her. His heartbeat has stopped. He felt as if he couldn't breathe at the sight of his would-be wife.
She was breathtaking.
