Synopsis

The new community began in the unforeseeable event led by the woodland. No one had seen, felt, nor imagined a mere cub could create another breath of life. A 17-year-old high school girl, Louisa Kim, did not face the not-so-typical challenges of reality with the notion of getting involved in the rising society of Alphas and Omegas. Nor did the first members of the New Generations anticipate their existence to be a part of the lycanthropes. Nine Alphas found in the four corners of the world gathered and associated themselves with the first Omega of their kind. The origins and symptoms would unfold in a way no human could predict.

Chapter 1Chapter 1: Friendships Last Quicker

"Public News. It's official that the first baby Alpha, will be born this year. For the parents' privacy, the specific date and other related details won't be announced."

The older sister, Frei, grunted and changed the channels, whining, "I'm tired of the same news all day. Omega here, Alpha there. As if they'll share their instant fortune with us."

The chips cracked in my mouth, savoring the barbeque flavor. I had no say in the matter rather than jealousy from the chosen people of the third gender. They appeared on the global news, and they were the talk of everyone.

As I gulped down the cold water, my body fell on the couch and stared idly at the ceiling. I smiled and uttered, "Hey sis, if I became one of them, I'll kiss your arse." Frei laughed ridiculously, seconding the same reaction that it would impossibly happen.

My name's Lou, short for Louisa, and I was the first omega, or perhaps not.

"Imagine you are the famous Eureka, you enter the door, and all the student swarms at you like you're the Queen of the wolves," announced Heidi playfully, swirling her pen in the air with her hand lazed on her palm on the desk. I softly giggled and took the pen, testing the Abracadabra spell or any spell just to make it all accurate.

"What if you aren't one of them, but a handsome Alpha barges into our classroom and slams your desk, saying he chooses you as his wife?"

"That's bad boy," I cooed, and we both screamed over the exciting fantasy. Heidi was my best friend. Well, not literally the bestest, but she deserved the title of being my right hand in case I became an Omega or Alpha.

Trustworthy and clever were what I saw in her to be qualified. Though she did not know any of my self-indulge, dominating fantasy, I chose her to be a part of it, and I would pick her even if there were one more person who piqued my interest as an ally.

Currently staring at her as she stood in front of our table with crossed arms on her healthy, cup-F size boobies, she glanced at me and tapped my desk with her pen, saying, "Stop dilly-dallying, Louisa. The Guidance Counselor is waiting for your cutting class report."

Meet Persia, the class president of the normies. We were part of the usual students in a public school. A prominent businessman funded it, and the government supported him to sustain the operation. Although, we could be unique from one another. Persia would lean more on the serious, upright pupil who was not up for jokes, but she's intelligent and reliable, a perfect left hand in case I needed back-up.

Heidi flaunted her braided hair. I frowned as it slapped my face. She said to Persia, "Don't get so worked up. She'll visit the playground, least you expect it."

"Playground? Dude, it's a disciplinary hell, you say," I whispered. The dumb sporty laughed loud, tapping my back hard. I coughed and slapped her head. Thus, she fought back, drawing her glossy, pink-painted paws.

"If I'm gonna be a wolf, I'll be all white as snow!" Heidi exclaimed dramatically.

"Yes, you are! But your claws are from Barbie, dismay!" I pouted to intensify the counterattack.

"How dare you." She headlock me. I choked, pretending. Hand extended for Persia's help. The lady of no fun sighed and walked away. Heidi released my restraint and mumbled the strange behavior of our dear friend.

Our feet strode through our seats. We were sitting in the same row, next to each other. My eyes met Heidi, and I guessed, "Maybe, she's turning into one of them?" Heidi shrugged, placing her pen on her upper pouted lips.

Ever since the appearance of Alphas and Omegas three months ago, the mass went obsessed with knowing whatever they could have solely to see the different lives from those third genders' point of view - I was one of those - as a fourth-year high school student, age 18. On the contrary, my manner was brimming with a sweet sixteen or less.

It heightened due to the old myth, which turned into our reality and desired to achieve the accumulated dream that most Western people believed. Hence, in this case, it was now within reach. Worldwide.

"I'll take the trash out. Go ahead." I waved at Heidi, and she ran with our Karaoke Gang. A couple of girls who preferred to have fun before cramming for upcoming exams.

I heaved as my grip on the garbage bag forced my strength to throw it on the waste truck. I dusted my hands off and wondered about inviting Persia over. It had been a week since she did not join us partying.

As I stepped across an open window, a loud slap rang my ear, and my eyes widened, seeing Persia's nose streamed red. My heart pounded the second I intended to jump on the window pane. Gripped the frame and yelled at her name.

"Persia, you're bleeding!" My eyes darted at the school chairman. He was glaring at me, and his palm was beet sore. I went mad. "Old bastard!" Persia grabbed my wrist, and her lips trembled, shaking her head.

"This's a fight between family. I'll text you later, hn?" her voice quivered. My eyes stung. It blurred because of her act of wiping her nose. Slowly, I watched from behind as she talked with the old man and then slid the window. I deeply exhaled as I met the other gals and walked with them with a vanilla ice cream Heidi saved for me.

My frustration altered to screams and was out of tune over the songs I played. With confidence that I could snatch Persia away from the old geezer, yet I listened to her. It made me feel terrible for not following my guts. Now, I was suffering from anxiety about whether she was safe or if we could meet in the class again tomorrow.

Heidi flopped her butt besides me. She put her leg onto the other and poked the microphone into my face. The grimace never left out of my expression.

"What's up?"

The three other girls consumed their energy by dancing along with the beat of the music they were singing. It's upbeat. I had the capability to get into the groove. However, I was pissed off at myself and at that nagger who could not open her mouth to those people who were mistreating her. I snatched the mic and stood up.

"I think my day's coming."

I spent the extra night, forcing myself to join the loud crowd until before curfew.

The fancy phone my mother bought for me as my 18th birthday present flapped close, and I opened the screen holder again. A classmate laid out a reviewer. My hand waited to let her drop it. She said, "Persia's absent today. The VP at your service. Behave for me, Lou."

"Tee-hee. I'll think about it, shortcake." Windy, her name, scowled and intended to take the manual. I laughed, stepping back into the corner of the room, swaying the papers. She groaned in annoyance and shouted,

"You'll clean the room, Louisa!" Our classmates burst out laughing, making fun of me over the fact that I had already worked up the vice president early in the morning. Shrugged it off, my hand lightly touched my desk, and I nestled on the chair.

"You used the forbidden title, no?" questioned Heidi, sipping on the ice pop. The yellow, crushed iced color looked refreshing in the middle of summer. Heidi only arrived, seeing her bag on her shoulder.

Going back to Windy, she was petite and about 4'8 in height. She was the shortest in the class. Even so, her soprano voice could reach the next building of the academe—an intense and scary Shih Tzu. The bell had not rung yet, but I had already received a sanction. Save the others for later.

"Have you heard from Persia?" I questioned as I played with the flip phone. The flip, flap, flip, flap sound it produced was calming the agitation. Heidi hung her bag on the side of her desk and yawned.

"No. I saw Mrs. Jacob on the way here."

"And you asked?"

"Why would I? We're not close." Heidi laughed, mocking me. I took the blame for having a crazy circle of friends when sometimes, I wondered about changing them to someone like Windy or her friend, Anastasia. The bookish chicks.

Look at the second head of the class, circling while the four-eyed gal helped her distribute the materials. Weren't they stuck together every so often, denoting two peas in a pod? I raised my phone and focused the camera on Windy. The thin, upward amber brows and a curved smile radiated positivity. Grunted, I rubbed my eyes.

"Damn. That's an eyesore. How could you smile if our class starts at 5?" Heidi cackled and swayed her head, sucking the last drops of the cold drink. Her eyes were fixated on her phone. Thus, the Tamagochi keychain dangled along with her jolly moves. Leaning my arm on her desk, I took a gander at her gadget and saw a glimpse of the familiar Spanish celebrity oozing sexiness through the phone.

Two people with secrets to keep, identities to hide, and answers to find. When the certain darkness threatens to take Oriana away, will the Dragon be able to protect his mate? ----- Excerpt- “If I knew you were my betrothed, I would have killed you the very first moment we met." Arlan's gaze darkened with hatred. “If I knew I was betrothed to you, I would have killed myself before you even killed me!” Oriana mirrored the same emotions as him. He pulled out a dagger and offered it to her. “It’s not too late. Just slit your throat with this and you'll bleed out painlessly.” She accepted the knife, her fingers clutching its handle tightly. The next moment, he was pressed against the wall and the knife was on the right side of his neck. “How about I try it on you first, my betrothed?” “Feel free to try. But when you fail, this knife will first taste your grandpa's blood, then yours.” Anger rose in her eyes, and the next moment, blood was flowing through the right side of his neck. She cut deep enough to severe an important blood vessel. “You should not have challenged me,” she sneered and stepped back, waiting for him to collapse. He simply smirked and brushed his finger along the deep wound on his neck. “Seems like you failed.” She watched the wound on his neck heal on its own and felt shocked to her bones. “You.. what are you?” “Guess?” ----- Instagram- mynovel.20 Facebook- Author mynoveltwenty
