Chapter 13: Spending his Unspent Stat Points

'Tsk.' Philip clicked his tongue as he walked away.

Everyone already left the party and said their goodbyes.

"Where do you live?" Chester asked Sally,

"In River rose." Sally replied shyly,

"River Rose? Oh. Our house is a few block after that. Can I walk you home?" Chester said,

"Ye-yes. Thank you." Sally's cheeks redden as she tighten her cerise lips.

"Hey! Philip!" Kray called out at Philip who is walking away,

"What?" Philip stopped as he turned his head to the side,

"I'll add you as friend." Kray said,

"Add me as friend? Are you gay or something? Arghh. Disgusting. The exam's over, I don't need you guys anymore." Philip sneered as he took another step,

"Don't you want to train in the Beginner's Forest? Because I don't want you but part of the reward is yours. I am not gonna be stingy with it just because we don't like you." Kray tighten his brows and asked. Philip stopped his walking and stood still for a bit.

He opened his friends window and invited Kray. A 'Philip asked you to be his friend. Do you accept? Yes or No?' Window popped up in front of him. Kray clicked yes.

"I'll chat you regarding the time. Don't be late and also get a new mace." Kray firmly said t

before turning his back from him and walked to Chester and Sally frolicking to each other.

'Tsk.' Philip clicked his tongue and continued walking away.

After feeling like a third wheel, Sally parted from them and the two walked. The sky shifted from clear to orange as the sun is slowly starting to set.

"You easily found a girl again." Kray sighed smiling,

"She is one gal. To think she lived in River Rose, a good subdivision. I might be in love, dude." Chester smiled,

"You say that to every girl you see. Don't play with her heart." Kray said,

"When have I ever played anyone's heart? If she notice me, she will be my first. You know." Chester said,

"I know. I know. You're just good with the ladies so don't play with her." Kray said,

"I am good but I won't play with anyone." Chester said,

"We are finally students of adventuring huh?" Kray asked happily,

"You can say that again. We will be the next heroes. Imagine Chester Note and Kray Box and you become the first unarmed, you will be revolutionary! I can see it." Chester exclaimed,

"Hahahaha. I hope so. Looks like I am here. See you dude." Kray said his farewell as he stepped in front of his gate,

"Yep. Chat me if anything awesome happens, okay?" Chester said to him as he waved goodbye.

Kray entered the gate and took out his keys and opened the front door.

"I am home." He said in the opened,

The house is desolate yet cozy and comfy. He is already too familiar with this scene. He sat on the comfy couch found in front of a television. He will train like an idiot tomorrow. The free access is effective next week so he still have two days to even utilize it with everyone.

'Oh yeah. I level up. I should distribute my stat points.'

He opened his status window.

'I even gained a strength and agility. Today's gains are good. Now where do I place my stat points now.'

He placed a hand on his chin and evaluated the whole thing. His last stat points where distributed evenly between strength, agility and stamina. His stamina is just high because his training mostly consist of endurance so it was no doubt always gaining.

Strength increases your damage output, increase a little bit of max health and reduces the effects of debuffs. It is a good stat because of the disadvantage that he has which is he can't wield any weapon so whatever he can deal damage with his fist then that's it. Though compared to other talents, he can deal more damage than most but he won't get the benefits of having weapons with additional effects and infused with magics and gems.

Agility increases your movement speed, your attack speed, are more nimble and more agile. It is a good stat so he can send a barrages of skills to the enemy which is great and can dodge attacks more precisely.

Stamina increases your health, endurance and armor. It is a good stat since he can't wear any armor from light to heavy so he needed some armor and with the help of his hardened skin, his armor rating would stack up. He will be a bit tougher.

Now he is in a dilemma and has to think carefully, stat points are not to be wasted, it is a points that could immediately increase your stats without having to expend energy in leveling up stats through extensive excercise or study.

He evaluated today's happenings and remembered that he is easily targeted from the Dark Silk Mamba and Iron Beak Pink Maruda. He could barely dodged the attacks of these monster, he doesn't want to lower his guard and depend too much from hardened skin especially his only style is close combat, he is more like a tank but not a tank, you could say that his style is similar to a berserker. Additionally, he can't wear any armor and he doesn't want to lose the effects of hardened skin, it's passive increase is just too good with additional armor, damage reduction and HP, if it continued to level up then he can't imagine the amount of gains he will get. So he thought.

'I think agility is the main focus.'

Agility increases chances of getting attacked or dodge attack because it heightens your perception and make faster movements, in other words 'very agile'. If attacks does not land then that's good and if it does land, he can still rely on his hardened skin so he will put hardened skin as his second defensive measure if there are no chance of dodging. After weighing everything he placed 2 stat points in agility and 1 in strength to make it divisible by 5, who doesn't like looking at numbers divible by five?

After comfirming his stats. a window popped up.

[Learned Bash Lv 1: Passive]

His eyes widened in surprise.

"Ne-new skill!" he exclaimed so loudly he stuttered,

He could not stop his heart from pounding hard. What would you expect? The unarmed talent has no build written or to speak off so you are in the dark in knowing the possible skills under the talent. It is also one of the reason why his stats is mostly balance though Intelligence and Wisdom is more on the magical side so there was not much reason to study very hard or solving problems. Though, it's weird he hasn't had an increase in wisdom with today's hapoenings. He has been making strategies.

He opened the skills window and read the description of the skill.

[Bash Lv 1: Passive]

Requirement:

Strength: 40

Have done 1000 punches.

Unarmed Lv. 10

Description:

A 10% chance to stun the enemy for a second.

'Stun the enemy!'

If he continued punching the enemy, the enemy wouldn't have the chance to counter if they are stunned and if he increase his agility, he would punch faster. More punches, more bash proc. And if he level the skill then it might increase its chance and he would punch the enemy to unconsciousness without him even getting to lift a single finger.

Imagine his signature combo 'Dash' to 'Rapid Punch', the enemy would be 50% bashed with rapid punch 5 consecutive punches.

He now knows what to focus now. Agility. It is the name of the game. Non-stop bashing people. Of course, he would be a strong one-on-one. It is not always a one-on-one battle though but it's not like the continents are on war in the first place.

He slouched his back to the couch, feeling so happy for what he has decided. He turned the television on and saw a news.

"This just in. Another incident of Will Massacre happened in the town of Fearie in Nashka. People are surprised that the legendary Will Thread, now known as 'Pestilence', would even target Nashka because of the relationship with the belated Priestess of Nashka, Erina Godwill. A live report from Greg near Fearie, Nashka. Greg." The reporter delivered.

Kray's eye brow knitted as he greeted his teeth hard like it is about to crack.

'Will Thread! You evil scum.'

"Thanks, Diane. 30 family died in today's incident. The Fearie Guard Force barely extiguished the threat before expanding into a more bigger casualty and damage. The action of the guard force was quick that minimized the damage compared to other similar incident." The reporter delivered

Mayor of Fearie: We were already prepared our defenses for a possible Pestilence attack. I didn't put in mind the closeness of Will and Erina and have our guard down but put in mind the possibility of this happening. Somehow, we managed to destroy Pestilence's puppet and give an immediate response to the injury. I am only waiting for the meeting of the kings and the final decision of the kings regarding this matter.

Chief, Captain of Faerie: We are now investigating the possible hideout of Pestilence. He have observed that his control over his puppets have been increasing as compared to the last incident in Chenghu. We found his hideout 60 kilometers from the incident. We are hoping for the actions of the remaining Legendary Party to stop Pestilence before he becomes a force all of us could not stop.

Kray's hatred oozed a heavy air around him. His clenched fist popping veins that looks like it is about the burst. The news lately is full of Pestilence attack. It is becoming a global threat.

Feeling his breathing getting heavier, he turned the television and tried to calm his heart. He firmly looked at himself from the reflection of the television.

'I will have you serve justice, Will!'

He stood up and went to a tree outside and punched non-stop to vent his frustrations.
