Chapter 1

At the uppermost layer of Remnant, there exists a certain dimension called Divine Realm where the arrogant gods reside. Various buildings of strange shapes and domains were scattering about, which made the place look otherworldly beautiful. However, now, that beautiful place was no more, in its place an ugly slaughter took place. The majestic mountains of various elements were torn down. Seas were cut apart and buildings were demolished. In its endless space, various bodies could be seen lying about and many more fell through the dimensional cracks resulting from the fighting.

This war was easily the most destructive war with countless casualties, including the destruction of the entire realm. The only war that was as destructive as this war was the war of Gods and Humans, where the entire realm of humans was destroyed and most living beings living in it were wiped out. The end result of the Human-God war was the near extinction of Humanity and fragmentation of the realm of humans. Even now, the realm of humans was still in fragments and only a lone planet called Remnant was suitable for living beings to live on. The irony of the name.

In the desolate streets of the realm of gods, a lone figure wearing a dress soaked in blood could be seen walking calmly. Her figure looked like a child no older than 10. She stopped, in front of her stood a woman in a white cloak. The woman's eyes were filled with tears as they rolled down from her cheeks to the ground. Her expressions were changing constantly, ranging from sadness and rage to shame and love. Eventually, they settled to that of resignation.

"Why did you do this Eclipsa?" Summer Rose, one of the five Paragon, the one who was known as the White Devil asked the girl.

The girl's broken eyes peeked out from her mixture of black and white hair. Her eyes, even though there were no emotions in them, were still shining in the faint purple light of power.

"Whatever, what was done, was done and I wouldn't hesitate to do this again" Eclipsa replied in a monotone voice. This girl, Eclipsa, was the daughter of Summer Rose. She was the culprit behind the destruction of the divine realm and the racial genocide of gods. For this reason, she had earned the title, Fenrir, the Beast of Ragnarok.

"Stop this madness at once Eclipsa. Please don't make me stop it for you," Summer Rose said in a tone full of determination.

"No, they have to pay," Eclipsa replied. Her voice, as emotionless as ever but if you knew her well enough, you could discern the underlying tone of hurt beneath it.

"What did they do to warrant the eradication of their entire species? This is just madness," Summer Rose said in desperation.

"You don't understand," Eclipsa replied.

"Then explained to me," Summer Rose demanded.

Eclipsa shut her mouth and said nothing.

"So be it," Summer Rose said as she readied to fight her own daughter.

Summer twirled her body, planets and stars shot out from her cloak as they raced toward the lone figure of Eclipsa. Eclipsa snapped her finger. Immediately, flames of myriad colours that could even bend the stars themselves appeared in front of her index. They collided with projectiles of Summer and burned every single one of them to ash.

From the ashes and flames, Summer's figure emerged, shooting all kinds of weapons at Eclipsa. Eclipsa disappeared from her spot as she appeared above Summer's body and punched her. Summer immediately created a device that covered her body with a transparent forcefield. The punch hit the forcefield and shattered it. Summer was sent toward the broken buildings. She finally stopped after going through about 10 buildings. Summer vomited blood and steadied herself. After that, she began to skitter around the battlefield. Eclipsa flicked her legs and she appeared before Eclipsa and sent a kick which sent her across the battlefield again. Summer's hands shook as the bones in them were fractured.

"Are you proud of me that I became this strong, mom?" Eclipsa asked.

Summer stood up straight again with shaky legs. "I just wished that you never have to become strong," she answered. Which clearly wasn't what Eclipsa wanted to hear as her emotionless eyes glared at Summer.

"Huh? You cared for me? After all these years you had left me alone so that you could live happily with Willow Schnee and your other daughters? The last time I checked, I was waiting for you alone at home while watching you enjoying Christmas with them on a scroll," Eclipsa replied in a monotone voice but if one knew her enough, they would be able to detect a great deal of sadness and anger in that tone. It seemed that Summer didn't know her well enough as she didn't manage to detect it.

Summer's eyes widened in shock and regret. "So, you knew," she said as she cast her eyes downward.

Eclipsa scoffed. "I knew? Of course, I knew. You were my mother Summer Rose. I could recognise your face from everywhere," Eclipsa said in a quiet still voice.

Tears glittered in her eyes as Summer said, "I am sorry but you have to stop. I won't allow you to destroy an entire race just because of this," determination started to settle in her tear filled eyes.

"Fine," Eclipsa said as she punched with such intensity that it shattered the space-time outright. Summer Rose threw an entire universe but the absolute strength of the punch vanished everything that stood in its way. Finally, it reached Summer and knocked her out.

Eclipsa looked at the still body on the ground quietly. Her eyes that never once cried in her entire lifetimes filled with tears slowly. Her tears travelled down from her graceful face to the ground. As soon as it touched the ground, an unimaginable life force gushed out from it, turning the war-torn battlefield into fields of flowers. All the corpses, body parts and damages were also consumed by these fields of flowers. If one were to say that this was once a brutal battlefield, others would think that this man was lying. Eclipsa Rose's body slowly faded into black-white petals and disappeared. Some petals landed on the ground, some on the flowers, some on the wreckage and some on Summer.
