AYAN'S POV
Standing in the Imperial Knights wing I comforted Laika as she cried in my arms after speaking with the General.
She had handled herself so well when she spoke to him, she didn't let him try to manipulate her. I had been standing nearby so I heard what she said to him. But what surprised me most was when she banged her fist against the cage and yelled at him. Even the knight observing us was scared.
She has been so brave and had stood up for herself.
"I really don't want to cry but I can't help it," She told me as she continued to furiously wipe at her tears. "Damn that General. He's not even worth these tears!"
"It's okay," I told her as I continued to comfort her. "Let it all out."
She cried for a while and I patiently waited giving her the time she needed.
When she calmed a bit she looked up at me.
