My blood went cold as I realized I'd been found out. For a moment I stayed frozen on the bench not sure what to do. I wished the bench would just open up and swallow me into it.

Worried to anger him even more, I immediately stood up from the bench and without putting on the shoes I'd removed went to the other side of the balcony where he was. " Lady Ayan?" He asked confused as if processing my being here.
