GENERAL KANG'S POV
On the way back to the estate I didn't take a break for the night like I had when I was going to the Headquarters. I just continued straight on through the night. All that was on my mind was getting back home as soon as possible. I hoped Laika would be alright.
I arrived late in the morning the following day. Kazir was waiting for my arrival with a small entourage of servants. I got out of the carriage tired and irritable and came to stand in front of Kazir.
"My Lord," Kazir said worriedly as he caught sight of my face. He appeared intimidated by my presence.
"How is Laika?" Was the first thing that came out of my mouth.
"It's been five days and she's still unconscious. The physicians that are working on her have finally brought her to a stable state. The baby is still fine the poisons didn't work."
