ARSEN'S POV
It's clear Zaryn was unhinged and probably wasn't likely to change anytime soon if nothing was done. To think he would go this far in trying to get Ayan back I was completely taken by surprise I'm sure some of the confidence Zaryn felt in his plan succeeding came from the fact he was receiving support from General Muron. Who may be a lot more involved in this than I realized? I wouldn't let his meddling slide at all.
I remembered my conversation with Zaryn's distraught wives back at the palace before I left to find Ayan. It's clear his selfish actions were depressing them and there was nothing they could do about it. This whole situation made me realize just how powerless a wife would be in such a situation. I wanted the judgment I gave over this incident to be fair to them as well.
"What's going to happen to them now?" Ayan asked me.
"I'm still considering how I will punish him....." I slowly began to explain to Ayan.
