ARSEN'S POV
After meeting with the General I was worried about what he was going to say to Ayan as he left my office to go and speak with her. I was starting to regret allowing him to speak with her. The only reassurance I had was that Sir Mikal was going to be observing their conversation.
When I spoke to the General he showed little to no remorse for Ayan and what his mistake put her through. I could tell he simply expected to just take her to his estate after the trial ended and act like he didn't try to have her killed. If it weren't for me stepping in Ayan would have had no choice but to return to him.
That was the unfortunate advantage a man with a harem had over his wives he could do what he wanted.
