A Day Too Late
AYAN'S POV
I finished my time on the farm with Enan, exchanged goodbyes with him, and immediately made my way back to my house. I had to finalize my escape plans. I came across Samira and Laika walking across the courtyard ahead. The two caught sight of me and they waited for me.
"Ayan, would you like to join us for a drink?" Laika asked me when I reached them.
"I appreciate the offer but I'll pass on it today," I replied.
"Why? What else have you got planned?"
Formulating my plan to escape, I thought to myself. "I just have to sort out a few things with my servants," I told her.
Upon entering my house and I looked for either Kaylee or Yema. Of which I found Yema first, she was instructing some of the other servants in one of the rooms on something. She stopped and gave me her attention once I arrived.
"I would like to go shopping in the Imperial City tomorrow morning," I told her.
