The Fifth House: Galegold

Did you really think that Hogwarts only had four founders? No, my friend, you should not believe what the history books say, because reality always has its hidden cards and sometimes it decides to use them at the most unexpected moment. How shall we say… now? When the unknown heir to the fifth house receives the letter from the famous College of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After an absence of almost a millennium, it is time for everyone to know the truth, whether they like it or not. I do not own Harry Potter or any other universe that will appear except the MC.

Objection!

It has been two months since Ron and company's punishment to the Forbidden Forest and Soisen was finally able to order a trunk with an undetectable extension charm. Because he was limited by the money he had at Hogwarts, he could only order a trunk with three compartments that were a storage room and two rooms with basic facilities. It was enough for his immediate need and he could get a better one in the future.

Nagini was excited to finally be about to leave confinement in the female dormitories and already made plans with Soisen to visit Diagon Alley soon after returning. They also discussed how to present the situation to their mothers and not get the wrong idea, believing that their son was precocious and had other thoughts.

Silvia had proven to be an excellent friend and business partner, perhaps it was from making so much soap or helping with the other products, but she seemed to have sparked an interest in magical crafts, which Soisen supported her deepening by providing materials to practice.

Hermione, on the other hand, although she has helped with research and implementation of ideas, her true potential emerged when Soisen suggested she take a part-time job as his secretary. Thanks to her passion for scheduling, note-taking and planning, the little witch had a blast while earning even more money than she did as an assistant. She also insisted that it was never too early to start accumulating work experience to add to her resume.

As for Soisen, due to Snape's strange insistence, she started working on a new potion based from a much more complicated idea. But his work was going very slowly, as the materials were quickly consumed and not at all cheap. He had no hope of getting results until at least mid-second year, and that's being optimistic!

The Weasley twins joined him as distributors throughout Hogwarts for a fee per product sold, not to mention their own prank business, of course. They also seem to have noticed that Soisen didn't particularly like Ron, which to the twins' dismay, they fully understood why. Table manners aside, anyone would be upset when they take their accomplishment of defeating a troll and proclaim it as their own, altering the story beyond belief.

You know the funniest thing? Soisen could see Harry and Ron looking at books in the library about who Nicolas Flamel was and after an hour without getting the answer they were looking for, they gave up without hesitation or embarrassment and went to meet Hermione to use their knowledge to their advantage.

Maybe and just maybe, Soisen may have been pointing out some facts, showing details and evidence with Hermione so that she would better understand her situation in Gryffindor house, because when they both asked her about it in the Great Dining Hall, Hermione just shook her head to the side as she snorted and walked away from them.

Harry was speechless and it took Ron a few seconds to understand what happened and he started using swear words again, or would have if it wasn't for his lips suddenly being stuck together in an inexplicable and mysterious way.

McGonagall gave Soisen a hard look from the teachers' table because she recognized the movement of his hands, which he responded to with eyes of innocent and utter bewilderment, but it didn't remove the little curse that would dissipate on its own in a few hours.

The little wizard needed a lesson in manners.

That's right, Soisen got Hermione to overcome her impulses to not only try to impose her views on the other lions (most of the time), but also that she wouldn't do other people's jobs for nothing. It turned out that he liked getting paid for a job well done, so why invest time and effort in ungrateful people who would only give him a perfunctory thank you?

Just look at the situation now!

It was only when Soisen discovered the two's inability to question teachers or look at a book for more than an hour, that as the end of the year approached, he "accidentally" dropped a Nicolas Flamel chocolate frog chrome by Nicolas Flamel right in front of Ron and Harry's eyes.

Who after reading the card, didn't even give it back to Soisen.

Damn them.

Several days later, Ron and Harry showed up in the infirmary wing and everyone was talking about their late night adventure. Ron only received some minor bruises and contusions, as a result of failing to keep his cool when they encountered the Devil's Snare. Luckily for him, Harry somehow managed to remember the Lumos Solem spell taught by Professor Sprout and saved him.

Harry was in slightly worse shape. It turned out that during the fire riddle, he made a mistake and drank nettle wine, which caused the hair on his head to burn off completely, along with one eyebrow. Only on the second attempt did he manage to get the potion right and confront the possessed Quirrel. The next thing he remembers is waking up in the infirmary.

Neither of them thought about how they knew they were there that night?

After taking a hair growth potion and some ointments, the two appeared at dinner in the Great Dining Hall. There, Albus used his famous magic to pull points out of the sleeves, so that Gryffindor would take enough points to get the House Cup. Only this time, he had to give more points than in the original story to do so. After all, Hermione didn't help Harry and Ron, so her points went to Neville.

Soisen was quite, no, he was quite angry at the headmaster's manipulation. Although the points were nothing to him and he didn't care about the cup, it was a fact that he alone had collected enough points honestly to eclipse the other four houses, pulling out a narrow ten point lead with Slytherin coming in second place.

He would have loved for the same year that Galegold house appears, to win said cup as a historic achievement to be remembered in the future! This was about honor!

-And now, if my calculations don't fail me....

No, I was not going to allow that.

-Objection! -Soisen stood up decisively and interrupted the Headmaster of Hogwarts under the incredulous gaze of everyone present, "Headmaster Dumbledore," he said loud enough for everyone to hear, "I don't find the points you just handed out appropriate!

Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff started muttering amongst themselves out of surprise, they did not expect at all that anyone would actually dare to act at that moment.

Slytherin nodded in agreement with Soisen's words, although it was somewhat humiliating to lose to a house with only one member, the loss happened by a narrow margin and they were in a better position than the rest of the other houses. And if they had to choose between Galegold or Gryffindor taking the cup, they would back the former without hesitation!

Gryffindor stopped moving with glee and looked at Soisen with annoyance, as if they had swallowed a fly. Only a few lions like Hermione were too embarrassed at the blatant surge of points and were not happy to tarnish the competition in this way.

The teachers were just as surprised, but even Professor McGonagall was silent. She wasn't against handing out some points to recognize achievement, but the amounts were too blatant for her liking. As long as Gryffindor didn't end up as the last house in the rankings, it was good enough for her.

-Would you like to state the reason for that, Mr. Galegold? -Dumbledore looked patiently at the student.

-Headmaster, I have nothing against the points awarded to Neville for bravery. It is a fact that it takes a lot of courage to stand up to friends," Soisen clarified first, earning many heads nodding in approval all around, "But Ron and Potter's actions don't deserve to be rewarded, it's already a good enough fact that they are still alive if the story is as rumored.

Ron turned red with anger and tried to get up to refute, but the twins stopped him by holding him by the shoulders and Hermione with a hidden wand movement, sealed Ron's lips with the curse Soisen taught him. Although the twins were somewhat dissatisfied with Soisen now, they also understood that the situation was not as simple as it seemed and it was best to let him finish speaking.

-I'm not going to deny the efforts of both of them in discovering Professor Quirrel's secret plan either, but ultimately, what they did in the end is practically suicide in every sense of the word. How does it seem remotely logical that two first year students think they have the capabilities to stop an adult wizard with evil intentions? That's not courage, that's recklessness and lack of reality," he questioned as he looked around, "From what I understand, their suspicions were originally and mistakenly focused on Professor Snape. As an outstanding potions master, money is not something that can attract him and there are potions to enhance and extend life to some extent.

Harry felt the blood rush to his face as he realized that Soisen was right. How could they not realize that?

-But it is an undeniable fact that they foiled Professor Quirrel's plan," Dumbledore commented with a skin thicker than the castle walls.

-That brings me to another point. If whatever it was that the professor was trying to take needed to be guarded with force, how did two first-year students manage to get past the defenses so easily? Soisen raised an eyebrow without backing down - the three-headed dog? Okay, appropriate. Devil's Snare? Okay, let's say it works," he nodded, "But a giant chess set? Catching a flying key? An explosive spell for the former and a freeze spell for the latter and that's it," Soisen didn't mention the fire barrier with the riddle because he found it unnecessary at this point.

Harry dropped his head on the table. Why didn't they think of that?

Oh, wait. I didn't know any of those spells?

-So Headmaster, in the interests of fairness and to demonstrate that points are only earned for appropriate actions, I ask on behalf of everyone here that the points you just handed out to Potter and Ron be cancelled so that in the future there will be no people who mimic your actions," said Soisen before adding as if casually, "For the greater good.
