THE TRUTH

Jo's excited. She has never been involve in investigation work or any police work before. It is challenging and exciting. She never ever thought that her beloved would be someone so unique also. Not only in work, but in status too. In fact, for this past 2 months, her life has been totally change. She has a new view of life that she has never seen before.

Jo: "Aunty Yvonne, are you in?" She knocks on her cottage door. The 2 bodyguards are with her.

Yvonne: "Yes dear, how can I help you?" Smiling when opening the door. Her smile stops when she saw the bodyguards.

Jo saw the smile gone and she was staring at the bodyguards.

Jo: "Don't mind them, Aunty Yvonne. I'm going to get dinner at Uncle's Joel eatery and they are going to help me carry our dinner." Jo smile at her.

Yvonne: "Oh I see."

Jo: " Aunty Yvonne, can you cook lunch for us tomorrow and deliver to the house? 10 of us. I'm going town to do some errands and might come back late."

Yvonne: "No problem dear. What time you want me to deliver?"

Jo: "11.30am. Peter needs to fly to Z country to do some material purchasing for the company."

Yvonne: "He's always so busy flying in and out. I hardly can see him, so are you. You must be missing him alot?" Jo blush.

Jo: "What to do. He got a business to operate. I got to go now. Thank you Aunty Yvonne, you are a darling." Jo and the body guards left.

They came to Uncle's Joel eatery and order take aways for 10 people. They came out with their hands full of packed food, then return to the house. From a distance hiding among the bushes, Yvonne was watching them. She smile and thought "So, they haven't find out anything yet. Boss would be glad."

She returns home and call her boss.

Yvonne: "Boss they haven't found out anything. They want me to cook for them lunch and deliver to the house." Instructions were given by her boss.

Yvonne: "Yes boss. I will let you know the outcome." Yvonne disconnect the call.

Jo: "Boss, it's done. She will deliver tomorrow at 11.30am."

Margaret: "Boss, she followed us when we went to buy dinner. Hiding among the park bushes."

Jo: "How did you know Margaret?" Jo was surprised.

Margaret: "I purposely went out to buy some tidbits next door to glance out and saw her. She was concentrating on The eatery."

Jo: "No wonder you have a packet of tidbits. I was wonder why you buy tidbits when we got stocks."

Peter: "Jo, there's a lot to learn. You will learn faster practically then theoretically."

Peter: "Jo, tomorrow morning, Margaret and Jane will follow you. Act as you are out for errand. So, at 9am, drive out to town. The rest will wait for her here. Do not eat the food, Tiger, test the food for poison in front of her."

Tiger: "Yes boss."

Harry: "You want the police here?"

Peter: "No. I have the authority to deal with her as assassin and murderer. All our men are already on standby. Ok, let's all eat our dinner now. The rest of the time will be free. Big day tomorrow."

All went back to their room after dinner. Peter enter into Jo's room and sit on the sofa. Jo took out 2 cans of drink, a chocolate bar from the mini fridge.

Jo: "Want?" Showing chocolate to Peter. Jo sitted next to him, open a can drink pass to him. Open the chocolate wrapper, break a bar and pass to him. Peter's hand came round her shoulder

Peter: "Thank you Honey. Tomorrow be careful. Put on that belt and ring when you go." Jo nodded.

Jo went to turn on the television and watch a movie together. Jo lean against Peter and he put his hand around her. By the time the movie end, Peter found Jo was actually sleeping. These few days events, Jo is already physically tired.

Peter off the television and carry Jo to the bed. He then went to off the lights, lock the door and return to the bed. He lay down next to Jo, took her into his bosom and sleep.

The next morning, they act accordingly to the plan. The car drove off at 9am towards the town. After they turn into the main road, a car was tailing them. 2 men inside.

Jane: "They are behind us."

Jo: "Who?"

Jane: "They want to get rid of us."

Jo: "What?"

Margaret: "Don't worry Miss Wei, our men are in front waiting for them." About 5 minutes later, Jo saw 3 cars road block. There are about 7 guys in policeman uniform standing on the road. Their cars slow down and stop.

Jane lower the window: "Everything ready?" One of the man says "Yup, go. See you later." Jane drove off.

The car that tail them slow down and stop also after they saw the road block.

Man A: "Now how? Road block."

Man B: "Just act normal, once we pass through them, we can continue with what we are to do."

Man A: "Yup. Though the distance are wider, we know where they go. We can finish them there."

Man A lower the window.

Police A: "Can you kill the engine and both of you step out?"

Man A: "Why? You did not ask the earlier car driver to do that."

Police A: "There's a wanted man on the loose, and we are looking for him. Earlier car are all ladies. Please co-operate with us."

Man A and B got no choice but to get out of the car. Once they are out, 2 men came forward and apprehend them immediately. Man A and B put on a fight but they were defeated. It was then they realized that they are not police, but Peter's men. They fail again.

Margaret's walkie beep. "Done."

Margaret: "Roger." Jane make a U-Turn and drive back. She stops the car once they reached the road-block. All came out of the car.

Margaret: "Patrick and Sunny, it's time for the truth." Both man A and B were shock that they know their name. But they act ignorant.

Man A: "What are you talking about?"

Man B: "We are not Patrick and Sunny."

Margaret smile: "You want me to establish your identity?" Both face got nervous. Margaret, took out her phone and press their finger prints on the phone. In just split of seconds, both identity appear on the phone screen. It was confirmed. Both got nothing to say.

Man A (Patrick): "How did you know us?"

Margaret: "Both of you are the one that killed Johnny, right? And you are sent now to kill us by using the same method you killed Johnny." Both were stunned. They knew our plan.

Margaret: "So, out with the truth. Who sent you and who is your mastermind?"

They are silent.

Jane: "Yvonne?" Both look at her with wide eye. They reaction already confirmed.

Margaret: "Boss, you saw everything?"

Jo turn and look around but Peter is not there. Then, she saw one of the police has his phone recording the whole scene. She heard that police says "Boss want us to return to the house now." Thus, all set for journey back to the house with the two captured.

Meanwhile, Aunty Yvonne is cooking in the kitchen preparing the lunch. She has no cue that the men she send to kill Jo and her bodyguards were already caught. She strongly believes that they will accomplished the task just as the killed Johnny. She was happy that her task will end today and she'll be able to have a luxurious life soon.

Aunty Yvonne came to the house with the lunch pack. She knock on the door. The door opened and she entered.

Yvonne: "Mr Peter, lunch is here." She smiles happily at Peter after placing on the dinning table. The bodygards, Peter and Harry were all waiting for her. Peter smiles at her: "How much is it?"

Yvonne: "Free. My treat."

Peter smiles again.

Peter: "Very kind of you."

Yvonne: "You have been kind to me all this years. You didn't charge any rental when I stay in your cottage. This lunch is a small token of my appreciation." She smiled.

Peter: "Let's have a seat and talk. I have never got an opportunity to really talk with any of the people in this island. I was too busy."

Yvonne: "Lunch is here, it's better to eat while its hot."

Harry: "We are waiting for Miss Wei to eat altogether."

Aunty Yvonne got no choice but to have a seat. Peter sat down on a single sofa, while Harry sat next to her. The bodyguards all seated at the dinning table.

Peter begins.

Peter: "Why did you kill Susan?"

Yvonne's face changed.

Yvonne: "I don't know what are you talking about?"

Harry: "We know who are you?"

Yvonne expression turn worst.

Peter: "Correct me if I'm wrong. You are sent by the the person who wants me dead. Promise you a large bonus so came here. That person not only want me dead, my secret too. For so long you still couldn't gather any information, so came Su. Unfortunately for Su, her actions raise Johnny's suspicion. Su told you and you decided to silence him. You told Su to send him to the school earlier to better know the place, so that he will not be suspicious. Of coarse all these years both of you have tried to gather information, but fail. You afraid that one day Johnny will tell me, so you sent someone to do the job. Su received the news of her son's death, she immediately called you to go to her cottage. There's an argument and you killed her. Am I right?"

Yvonne's face was ashen. They party return to the house just in time. Yvonne was shock to see Patrick and Sunny got caught. She turns and looks at Peter.

Yvonne: "How did you know all this?"

Peter: "Johnny told me of his suspicion when I saw him not in his usual self. He told me of Su's action 6 months earlier. You see, I've already eye on Sunday for 6 months. But I didn't tell Johnny that his suspicion is right. Then suddenly Su was found dead. I was informed though I'm not here. I have Jo describe to me the whole incident. Of coarse you act can lie to others but not me. So I have you dig out. Once I got to know Su's death, I have someone to protect Johnny, but was too late. I have my man investigate and found that Johnny's death date and time are actually before Su. Bits and pieces join together gave me the picture."

Yvonne: "What about them?"

Peter: "That's even easier. The investigation report came with their names and faces."

Yvonne: "So, what now? You are not police, you can't arrest me."

Peter: "Well, I can. I'm authorized to do so." Peter looks at her and smiles.

Yvonne: "How is it so?"

Peter: "Simple."

Harry took out the authorization letter by the Police Commissioner and show to her. She was shock.

Peter: "Tiger, the food?"

Tiger: "Positive."

Harry: "By the authority bestow upon me, you are under arrest for murdering, poisoning and assessin."

Peter: "Tiger."

Tiger: "Yes boss."

Tiger gathers the evidence, instructs all his man to escot the 3 criminals to police station.
