Clash

I felt the house shake as Jinx continued attacking Luc, and I threw open the back door as I finally reached Lee's study. The pixie was right behind me and he gasped with horror with what we saw. 

Jinx was flinging spell after spell at the hybrid and rather than defend himself or move, Luc was simply taking her hits. He would stumble after each spell hit him, but he remained standing, and I realized he was absorbing part of her magic. I had no idea Luc had such an ability and I was dumbfounded as I stood in the doorway, watching the witch assault my partner.

"You! This is all your fault!" JInx screamed as she kept flinging spells at Luc and the hybrid stumbled as he continued to take her hits. I gasped as I saw the pain flicker across his face, but just as I began to step into the backyard, Luc motioned me away, clearly wanting me to stay out of it.
