Flashback 11

Later that night, she had her nightmare again.

Belle furrowed her brows again like she was in great pain. Sweat trickled down from her small forehead and Mikhail wiped them away with care. She mumbled something but the man could not understand it and just focused on wiping her.

When Billie Yang knew that his grandfather chose Belle as his successor, he was so angry and from then on, he plotted her demise. But Belle knew that even her father would turn his back against her when he learnt the decision of the old man. As for her, she could not give up her position just because her father asked her to.

She worked hard so that she could fully gain the trust and loyalty of the BOD and eventually they would support her even Billie will claim his rights to the company. He had a ten percent share but that will not suffice if he will go against her and that's the time that Billie needed the support from the BOD.

Ever since she was taken to the Yang household, her father changed drastically. The father that she knew when she was young, was like a mirage and now, it was broken and the reality was laid in front of her.

His father re-married as per obeisance of the old man's request, in return, he will inherit the Yang Empire and be the head of Yang household. The old man agreed to his conditions and he gave Billie ten percent share from him. That was their agreement and it was also because of it, he acted haughtily in front of everybody.

She was eight when Billie remarried and her step mother had already a daughter that was a year younger than her.

She was a fruit of their affair during the time that Billie needed someone to console him. It was also the reason that Billie has to marry the woman.

Belle was an excellent student and she excelled in academics. She was always a top student and she hoped that her father would be pleased upon hearing it. But ever since her younger sister appeared, she was like a push over and the treatment of her father gradually worsened. He was less appreciative when it comes to her and she would be often compared to her younger sister.

She got home happily and she rushed to her father's study room after she finished changing her clothes.

She directly pushed the door open and had seen her father caressing the head of her younger sister's head lovingly.

When she burst in the room, Billie frowned and his aura turned cold.

"Who let you in? Can't you see I'm busy?" Billie roared which made her stiff.

She did not answer her father's question and it made the man flew in to rage.

"I'm sorry dad." her lips quivered with fear as she was saying this. She turned around and hastily left the room dropping her report card on the floor. She could not care about the report card, all she wanted to do that moment was to fled from the place as she did not want to get beaten again.

Yup, she was always beaten by her father or by her step-mother. As she was only 9 years old at that time, she would end up badly bruised and sometimes, there's even wound on her arms and limbs. It was due to excessive beatings and sometimes the things that her step mother used were sharp objects. She had no other way but to cover her face to avoid any wound.

It started when she was framed by her younger sister, Lilith about stealing a jade bangle from her step-mother's jewelry box.

"You ungrateful child! How dare you steal my jade bangle! Ha!" her step-mother Lilly, keep accusing her. It made her shiver with fear and duck on the corner of the room streaming with tears. Lilly grabbed a handful of Belle's hair and pulled it upwards. Belle winced with pain and her tears streamed down like a broken dam.

"I... I didn't know about it. It wasn't me... No... It wasn't me..." she keep on insisting that she did not stole the jade bangle. She knew that it was Lilith but there's no way the old hag would believe her even if she would tell the truth. Lilly flung her on the side and kicked her hard.

"You! You're like your mother, a sl*t! You ingrate!" as her step mother said this, she threw a vase over her and hit her which made her head bled. "Look what you have done! You shattered the vase! How dare you!! Don't you know that it was more expensive than your life? Ha!" Lilly threw her another hard thing.

Lilly blamed everything to Belle. She knew that Billie will side her even though she was wrong. With this thought alone, made her behave atrociously.

Belle sat on the corner of the room while her head was bleeding profusely. Her head was throbbing with pain and her tears mixed along with her blood. She kept ducking her head as she received every thing that was thrown over her.

Listening to her unending accusations, she sat there and as time flew, she felt that her surrounding got dimmer.

Lilly found that no matter what she did to the child, she would never talk back to her and most of all, she could pin all the blame towards Belle.

Lilith was there at that time, smiling and giggling at her. She found it amusing as she watched her mother thrashed her with everything. She was like a two-faced demon to the younger Belle. All she could do was to duck on the corner and cry because of helplessness.

Lilly wanted to throw something to her again but it was halted. Belle became unconscious and she fell on the floor with a loud thud.

With this, her step mother became agitated as she thought that she had killed Belle. Underneath her head was a small pool of blood and she became nervous upon seeing this.

"What will I do? Lilith, help mother. Let's throw her away before your dad comes back." she said hastily as she wrapped the unconscious Belle with the carpet.

"Okay mom. I'll help you." with this, Lilith ran towards Belle's room and packed some of her belongings. She knew that her father would ask about her.

It was already 7 in the evening and their home was in an exclusive subdivision. They drove off towards the forest carrying the unconscious Belle in their car's trunk.

They tossed her inside a forest faraway from their home along with her belongings.
