THE LIES

In Jordan's room

"Jordan I am tired of all your excuses!. You are not really being reasonable. You literally know that we made a deal. I don't want to believe that you made this deal up for your own selfish motives leaving me out your consideration. Jordan please! You are the first person I trusted since I first came here. You are the first person who sincerely treated me nicely . And you are the first person I have made best friends with since my whole life began. I trust you. Please don't break my trust Jordan,"Neya said Her eyes were slowly filling up and she was on the verge of breaking into tears.

Neya had been so lonely during her childhood and in her teen days.

During the time she was still with her grandma. All the people around her had always avoided her.

Everyone walked past her as if she were a ghost. When she tried to talk to anyone they would make excuses to leave.

Neya clearly understood that everyone hated her.

She had made up her mind during her childhood days that she would always do the same thing that everyone was doing to her.

Since everyone had been so distant towards her, she would do exactly the same. From her childhood to her adulthood she had no friends.

The only friend she had was her grandma.

It was a complete privilege for Neya to get Jordan as her first friend.

When she made the deal with Jordan she had belief that the pledges in the deal would be fulfilled.

She was sure that the man infront of her then was just like a business associate who was making business with her. Once each of the pledges had been fulfilled by each of them. It would be done.

As time went by. The business relationship began to grow into a strong friendship.

She slowly started trusting Jordan because the kindness and understanding that he showed her.

Not once in her life would she ever think that Jordan would betray her.

Neya had trusted Jordan too much but things would take a drastic turn soon.

Every word that Neya had said to Jordan was burning up his heart. He was feeling so guilty.

He looked so sympathetically at the innocent Neya who was on the verge of breaking into tears as she talked about friendship. It seemed to have reminded her of her childhood days.

Jordan really wanted to tell Neya the truth at that moment but then he remembered the consequences of the action.

Telling Neya the truth at that moment was like giving her poison to drink.

Then. Jordan wouldn't let his kindness get the better of him.

He had to continue lying to to her just for some more time.

He didn't want to this but he had no other choice.

Neya I am sorry but I have to continue lying to you just for short time. I know you trust me Neya but you shouldn't have. Neya I only hope that you forgive me when you find out the truth,"Jordan apologetically said to himself.

Jordan was completely aware of Neya's trust in him. He didn't want to break that trust.

He had to find a solution to this.

Then ,he was making up an excuse that he was going to tell Neya so that he could buy himself more time.

He knew Neya wasn't going to bear with that any longer. He knew sooner or later he would have to tell her the truth.

He then looked at Neya and calmly said,"Listen Neya. I know that you want an explanation to all of this. But I am sorry to say that I cannot give it to you as of now. I promise you Neya that within a period not far from now. I will tell you the truth and fulfill my part of the deal,"Jordan said.

He continued on and said,"Neya I just ask you to accept my apology. It's not of my own will that I am doing this. Neya believe me when I say that I want to tell you the truth but I can't. Please Neya. I only ask you to be more patient with me. I promise I will tell you everything at the right time. Neya even if I could tell you there would still be some hindrance. I mean this place is so crowded with very many people. I couldn't possibly tell you because of the fear that someone might overhear our conversation.

Neya not long from now the truth will be revealed to you. I promise.

Neya that's not the important thing right now. That's in the future and you have to focus on your present. Tomorrow's your wedding anniversary. Focus on that right now. You have to prepare yourself for tomorrow. Neya just believe me. Have trust in me. I won't betray you.

Jordan only hoped that all the words that were coming out of his mouth would at least have a positive impact on Neya. He wanted to come up with a believable excuse. It wasn't really working out for him.He then remembered the wedding anniversary. He knew that he would manage to convince Neya with that. He hated lying to Neya but he had no other choice. He knew that Neya trusted him so much. He knew that he had to break that trust if he wanted his plan to succeed. He also knew that Neya wouldn't forgive him after she found out the truth but he was willing to risk his friendship with Neya for his plan to succeed. He believed that Neya would forgive him as time went by because she was the most kindhearted person he had ever met. He felt so guilty of himself but he had to do it. If he didn't Nahor's life would be a complete hell.

He only wanted Nahor's happiness. Nothing else. He was ready to sacrifice everything for that because he didn't want Nahor to experience the same pain since that incident that happened some time ago.

"Oh Neya. I am very sorry. But I have to this. Nothing is more important to me than Nahor's happiness. I made a promise to his father and I won't break it. Neya I know you will forgive me one day. I am sorry,"Jordan regretfully said to himself.
