Everyone laughed out in joy at Jordan's statement. Of course Jordan was the funny one. The one who was always happy and fun. It would be hard to find him with a full or moody face. He was always cheerful. He made everyone laugh at least every day. No matter how sad anyone was. He would always cheer them up. He was like that fun part of the crew. He was always understanding.
"Oh classic Jordan,"Sami said. "But he was right though."
Everyone laughed once more then they all headed off to their rooms. Well. Everyone did slowly walk to their rooms. Even though they were strong the wine was way more stronger.
"No matter how strong you are once the wine gets into the body it becomes the master and you become the slave"
The men had to keep balance to prevent themselves from falling down to the ground.
Nahor was the last one to depart. He looked at his men as they slowly moved to the palace. He was glad that he had at least made an effort to bring all them together from their work. He would organise another banquet like this in the next time. He felt good that he had at least done something. It was getting really late. So he stood up from his seat and headed to the backdoor of the palace. He then looked at the stairs. They seemed way more longer than they usually were or was it because he was drunk. He then climbed up those stairs even if he thought he would fall back down in a moment.
As he headed to his room he thought Neya. He thought of her beautiful face and blue eyes. That smile of hers . He soft skin. Everything about her was so beautiful.
He wanted to see her. He couldn't stop thinking about her .
Neya was aware that Nahor had held a banquet and Nahor wouldn't be in the room till quite late.
So she decided to relax. She stood on the balcony of her room and looked deep into the night. She couldn't see anything beyond the palace garden because of the invisible force field. She then looked at the twinkling stars. O how she wished that she could turn into one and just disappear. But that was impossible. She then remembered her grandma's words "There's no way you can avoid problems by just wishing. You have to face them . The more you do that then the stronger you will grow." Well she had to accept that her grandma was right. She had to be strong. Just for some more time, then it would all be over. After some time of relaxation, she prepared to go to sleep. She had to admit she was tired. She could feel her eyelids closing in. She put on her night gown and got ready for bed.
Just as she was about to get into bed, she heard some foot steps. She then turned around and saw Nahor entering the room.
He stood at the door for around a minute and then closed the door behind him and entered the room . Neya could clearly see that he was stumbling as he walked.
It was obvious to her that he was drunk. She sat in the bed motionless. Her eyes fixed on Nahor. And Nahor's eyes fixed on hers.
He continued moving forward and Neya realized that he was about to fall.
She quickly jumped out of the bed and ran towards him and held him by the shoulders to keep him in balance. She didn't know what had got into her. She didn't even know that she could run that fast. She looked at Nahor. He was so drunk . She had always seen him sober but now he was so drunk. She looked at him. She could see that he was relaxed. He looked different. He was always serious when he was sober but now he looked normal. She thought she liked him that way. She then made Nahor stand upright.
"Nahor you are drunk as of now but I'm going to help you get into bed. Just follow me,"Neya said as she led Nahor to the bed. She held his strong hand tightly and then led him forward. All the way Nahor was just quiet. He was just looking at Neya. Neya continued moving in front. She was holding Nahor's hand. She was a bit scared but she was only doing this out of generosity. The bed was just there a few steps away but it seemed as if it was taking forever to get there. She just wanted to avoid all this but it wasn't as she wished. She continued walking but she suddenly felt a sudden stop
It was Nahor . He suddenly stopped moving. Neya turned around to see what was wrong but before she could say anything. Nahor pulled her towards himself.
