The Fallen Throne 4

Your eyes locked on the biggest of the two, the male you presumed, and the one leading in front. "You're first." you threatened, making eye contact with it. you drew in a deep breath, compressing magic power within your throat and a moment later, threw your head forward.

"Sea God's Bellow!" you roared, unleashing a massive compressed beam of black spiralling sea water.

The male wyvern only had time for its eyes to widen, before your beam of compressed water gouged through its chest and tore it from the sky, where it crashed into the ground, its immense bulk shaking the earth beneath your feet and cratering the ground underneath it.

The female screeched and roared in rage, diving even faster towards you as it continued on, intent on getting revenge.

Grinning, you jumped up to meet it, shooting up from the ground into the air almost like a bullet, you wound back your fist, black sea water spiralling around your hand like a miniature tornado of water and you smashed your first into the scaly beasts snout before it could wind open its massive jaws to bite at you.

Bone crunched under your fist, and you followed through, the sheer strength behind your punch launching the wyvern down through the air towards the forest again.

you let yourself fall back through the air, eyeing your handiwork previously. But just as the female of the two wyvern's was about to smash into a massive, tree, a smaller green, but still massive blur shot out of the tree and latched onto the falling scaled beast.

There was a flash of green magical power that briefly blinded you and made you blink spots from your eyes, landing a moment later to rub them out.

"Oh shit!" Max shouted, "It took over the Wyvern!?"

"Oooh! Oooh!" a deep, neanderthal like voice harrumphed like an ape, "Grog da best!"

Your vision returned, and you saw the culprit behind the light that stole your vision for a moment. It was a Forest Vulcan, you could easily tell that from the glowing white eyes, ugly purple skin, deep green fur and stupid looking love heart marks all over its body.

..Though, compared to the average one that was usually slightly bigger than a human male, this thing was massive with a capital M.

The thing had to be easily over ten feet tall, closer to fifteen you'd guess on estimate. Maybe even more.

"Grog da best! Grog da best!" it chanted, pounding on its chest.

"Shit," you heard Max curse, "This thing is probably on the A-rank level now through sheer power at this point. We might need to pull back."

You blinked and looked over your shoulder at him, "Wait, didn't you see me take out those two wyvern's like they were nothing?" you asked, a bit shocked that he thought this weakling could take you on.

"This is different," Max replied shaking his head, "These things can use the power of those they take over, and it's got the magic power of a wyvern and its entire pack backing up the power it got from that mage it took over, this thing could be easily three times as strong as one of those wyvern's, and with magic to put that power to use."

"It could be ten times stronger and I'd still crush it," you snorted, turning to the giant ape, "Oi, monkey boy, spit out the mage you took over or die, make it snappy."

Grog, as you assumed its name to be from its chanting, blinked out of its chanting and noticed you for the first time, "Human male?" it uttered stupidly, scratching its head and peering at you with glowing white eyes. God this thing was stupid, it only got the wyvern because you softened it up, and it knew that, which was why it took the opportunity to take it over.

But in that span of time, the moronic ape had actually forgotten about you.

"No like males," it snorted, raising a massive purple skinned hand and shooing you away, "Go way, or die."

You snorted, "Not likely monkey boy," you shot back, you levelled a finger out at the giant beast and pointed towards its face, "Cough up the mage you took over. You can keep the stupid ass wyvern, but I'm gonna need them back unless you're the one that wants to die."

Its glowing white eyes narrowed in anger, and it snorted a puff of smoke from its nose, "Male die!" it roared, raising twin massive fists into the air and bringing them down, smashing them into the ground.

From the point of impact, twin waves of searing hot flames and ice spikes lanced towards you through the ground at a breakneck pace.

What a pedestrian use of magic. You weren't even stymied at all, and this while decently powerful, was so straight forward even a normal rune knight could dodge it handily.

Launching yourself up into the air and safely over the the twin elemental attacks, you further your momentum by using your Burst technique to thrust you forward and pick up speed, closing the distance in moments.

You were unsurprised as you descended from above, to see the giant monkey hooting and hollering excitedly as it watched its attacks tear through the area you previously occupied.

Rotating like a wheel once, you extended your leg as you came down, black spiralling salt water enforcing your limb, and brought it down right on top of the neanderthalic ape's head. "Sea God's Crushing Leg!" you declared.

Boom!

The area shook like an earthquake hit the area, and the giant green furred ape smashed into the ground so hard from your blow the forest floor cratered inwards for a good five feet and twenty feet in diameter.

Landing nimbly besides the downed ape, you dusted off your hands casually, "Well, that was easy." you commented. Honestly, you expected more from your first King Vulcan.

Eh, whatever you supposed. All Vulcan's were born with magic, unlike humans where only ten percent of the population got it. Unlike human's though, they were only ever born with the ability to use Take Over magic, and could take over any living species, unlike human users.

And considering they actively added the full power of whatever the took over to their own, compared to humans who only received a fraction, they would be incredibly dangerous.

If not for the fact that they themselves were born with tiny, pitiful pools of magic. And lacked any instinctive talent for magic. So, they didn't know how to instinctively create barriers with their magic to contain the souls they took over. So when they eventually ran out of energy-

The giant vulcan at your feet shimmered with light, before fading away, leaving a human in its place, an older girl, dressed in a skimpy belly dancer cat girl cross outfit, laying unconscious in the middle of the crater.
