Chapter 29 : Getting in trouble is my hobby[2]

My sword was stuck in one of the jaws of the hound.

While another one was pouncing on me. I let go of my left hand and threw a strong hit with my fist.

Bang...

Lucas has only the strength of a 1 Star that's why his punch hasn't done any major damage except to send it some distance.

I threw a fireball at the other hound pulled and pulled my sword out of the jaw and pierced the sword in its jaw towards its head.

Whoosh

The sword pierced and went straight through his head to the top killing it in a second.

Swish... Swish...

Hush... Hushh...

Panting heavily, I kept on fighting and kept on swinging my swords using the drifting sword technique without any other thought like it was my instinct.

The more I swung my sword the more I found myself familiar with it. I could feel the level of my swordsmanship increasing along with the drifting sword.

"Sure fighting is the best way to increase your proficiency and strength".

Without stopping I went on a rampage to my heart's content venting my stress, as all these monsters are a good way to vent my accumulated stress.

The corpse of a headless and dead hound kept piling on top of the other.

The sole surviving hound lowered his head seeing the ruthless person that has entered their home before him slaying every member of his pack. Faltering his steps he decided to flee as fast as he can.

I was too tired to handle a minor hound so I let it flee.

Then as I looked behind, I was utterly stunned unable to close my jaw. I have killed 12 hounds and 9 of them are headless.

It was quite brutal even for monsters. I should control myself while aiming for heads. If it became a habit then there is going to problem. I don't want people to call me a psychopath who likes butchering the head of others.

Still, I chopped heads on the later fights.

I gulped some intermediate stamina and strength potions. Being 1 Star and fighting F rank monster drains my stamina very much.

I can win the fight because of my perception and agility being higher and also because of my D ranked sword.

I don't think I would be able to keep going if I have F ranked sword with me.

At least I was lucky that my parents had sent me a sword.

[You have acquired passive skill Persistence]

A line flashed on my retina giving me a surprise.

"Passive skill. Does the system also have this kind of function. Damn it why didn't it give me before. Was this system waiting for my death to pass the skills. Just what is the origin of this system".

If not for the nice skill I got, I wouldn't have stopped cursing the system early.

I hurriedly checked my status to find out the effect of the passive skill.

===============

I was quite happy about getting the passive skill.

"But the suddenly acquired skill wasn't it too much of a coincidence".Seeing the coincidence my heart started beating faster.

Just now I was crying and pitying myself because of my lack of stamina and now I got the skill to refill some of my stamina in case of danger.

"Should I try pitying other stats and see if I am lucky, I can get other passive skills like this Hehehe".

" I should keep the experiment for another time. I should first get out of this place".

Taking the corpse into my storage ring I moved.

I was just about to take his steps when.

"Roar".

" Growl".

"Grrr".

Another pack of hounds were looking at him ferociously.

Lucas smiled brightly. In his eyes, they were nothing but experience to him. Even with a casual glance, he could see a hundred thousand experience points are on their way to him.

Fortunately, he has just replenished his stamina just a minute ago

"Hang on, I shouldn't let my arrogance get over my head. "

Whatever.

It was not time to express my joy.

Tightly grasping his sword Lucas spoke.

"Your body and experience gonna be mine. Thanks for the meal".

With the gaze that could be sent a chill down the spine Lucas without giving any second thought jumped on the pack like a grim reaper.

Simply from searching every nook of the floor killing every monster he could find.

After killing the pack, most of the monsters he encountered were mostly G ranked. He was unhappy about getting low experience points but on the other point, it was good that he still now didn't encounter a monster above Franked.

He doesn't know whether to laugh or cry about this.

Clearing the floor he found the stairs that descended.

"I must be at the topmost floor. Just what will I encounter on reaching down the stairs".I mumbled.

The stairs were made of stones with tiles on top of them being cracked.

" This house is perfect for a horror movie shooting. You don't need to prepare anything for man-meeting".I joked to avoid getting anxious.

He didn't let his guard down and descended slowly.

Lucas hoped that the monster from the upper floor may not respawn as this is an odd man-made dungeon who knows there may be a secret room hiding the monster that he didn't clear cause if this happened he gonna be tugged in between the monster from the upper and lower floor.

He doesn't want to fight in between the stairs.

Descending he surveyed the floor and after somewhat getting used to the environment which was similar to the upper floor he moved again.

There is a rat type of monster on this floor who doesn't even amount to 100 experience. I don't even know if they can be killed monsters or not.

A monkey jumped from the ceiling. Lightly evading

the claws of the monkey he stabbed his chest with the sword.

More monkeys surrounded him.

Lucas used the drifting sword to cut all the monkeys aiming in a straight arc.

Killing the monkey he found cats trying to pounce on him from the floor.

Sparrwite who looked like sparrows flew towards him.

"Shit just what kind of dungeon. It looked like a pet shop of monsters instead of the dungeon. This floor doesn't even have decent experience points".

Cursing to his heart's content, he walked through the corridor.

" I don't know where the exit but entering the window must be the second floor of the house or dungeon or whatever you can say"

"This must be the lower floor".

Cutting throws the monster he found the cat somewhat bigger. It looked like Bobcat from his world.

He orderly sliced the neck of the bigger cat without any second thoughts.

Lucas found that his battles prowess had improved greatly. Fighting multiple opponents at a time has improved his awareness of his surroundings.

His perception to read the movements also upgrade a bit. Unlike before it has become easier for him to evade his enemies. It may be also because they are weak compared to the upper floor.

Still, the unexpected risk he had taken has been paid a lot if he can get out of this dungeon alive.

He feels that he can take on the peak of 2-Star of his year if they are novices in a real fight.

Besides finishing all the monsters he can find.

He looked at the stairs before him. The down floor must be last.

Even after gaining confidence from clearing the floors he still couldn't make up his mind.

That must be the floor where the weird person must be.

Looking down the stairs was creeping him.

With his perception being higher he could sense the aura of something ominous lurking down the stairs far better than before. Without a doubt, something stronger was hiding down below or maybe he was getting this feeling from the person he had seen before.

He didn't have to see it to know.

He honestly didn't want to go down. What may be this is a place of experiment and If they are stronger than him, they may catch me for the experiment.

"Should I stay here and wait for the skies to rescue me. But if they don't look for me and decided to abandon me".

Slapping his cheeks, he reminded himself to think positive.

" Negative thoughts go away".

Lucas prepared himself as much he could. He went through the two-floor again to look for anything missing. When the time go down he was still getting nervous and sweaty.

One must have a certain amount of fear of death so that one didn't let his guard down.

Praying to goddess luck he descended the floor.
