chapter 10: flyfish family

"it's's been a long time since we finally returned home."

As the old man arrived in his home. Reno look at the run down home.

This makes Reno to twitch his lips and the old man notice his disappoint expression and said.

"What? Do you think a old man like me are living in the mansion?"

"No, but I thought you'll have a nice home since you are mechanic."

"Look kid, I ain't have a nice house but that doesn't mean you disrespect the old man like me.

Besides, the city was long abandoned by the noble family. Do you think a normal merchant will entered the city? Only fools will leave here like us."

As Alex state, Reno couldn't help but to agreed.

It's been a long time since the war was over but the noble family as already forgot the city long ago or rather.

The city was flooded by the criminals and the nobles wouldn't retake it after the war.

"Anyway, did you got the materials?"

As Reno nodded, the old man smiles more and said.

"Good, now go and buy some forging materials."

When Reno heard this, he couldn't help but ask.

"Old man why do we need to buy? Can we just made it already?"

"Boy, I don't know where the hell you been raise but, what you brought was ingot metal. Do I look like am a black smith?"

As Reno realize it, he couldn't help but to be disappointed. But Alex continued.

"But luckily for you, I know a black smith so it will be easier than you think."

As Alex pointed his granddaughter who was sleeping in the couch. He couldn't help but ask.

"Old man, are you insane?"

Looking at the old man with a displeased face. He couldn't help but to think if he got brained damage from the fight.

The reason was Shukla looks like a 10 year old girl. This makes Reno have doubts if the old man was the same as kiriko.

Looking at Reno's doubt face. He couldn't help but to punch the kid. But Alex became calm and said.

"Kid, even though my granddaughter looks like that. She was already in the right age and also a lot stronger that you think."

"Really?"

"Anyway, you better find a forging tools and send it here."

As the old man said, Reno was displeased but he still follow the old man's command.

Upon returning from shopping or rather stealing. Reno saw the little girl or rather a big girl(mentally) was looking at him.

This makes Reno to be surprise as her entire injury was already heal.

"It's my friends potion. so don't be surprise."

As Reno nodded, he then set up the forging equipment in the basement.

When Reno finish installing, he then took the metals in the table. This makes Alex who isn't actually black smith to be interested.

The metal Reno wanted to use. Is actually a hardest and also durable metal that most black smith prefer.

Shukla look at the table, she then ask.

"What kind of weapon you want to make?"

Upon taking a book in his inventory. Shukla was shock to the phenomenon including Alex.

This makes Alex think if Reno was a mage since mages can take out something in out of nowhere.

Of course, both granddaughter and grandpa didn't know the power of Sylvia and also Reno didn't want to revealed her.

Of course, Alex didn't cared why Reno was in the mass grave but he have some doubts why the book was in there.

As Reno ask in confusion, Shukla continued.

As Reno thinks, he couldn't imagine it but Alex said.

"One saint alone can destroyed a whole army. If a saint use this bow. He can destroyed a entire 3 city's combined with one arrow."

As Reno look at Alex with surprise, he then said.

"Yes, this book was equivalent of national treasure. And if someone find out about this. They will do anything to get the book even they start a war. So be careful when it showed to the public."

As Reno nodded. Shukla and Alex smiled.

"So Alex when will my weapon be finished?"

"Hmm.. probably for a couple of day but do you have other things to add?"

As Reno nodded. He then gave Alex a drawing of different arrows.

This makes Alex to be interested of the arrow he draws.

The drawing he gave to Alex was different types of arrows that Reno remembered in his previous world.

He even tried them when he once visit the Mongolian country. Although he got second place in competition.

He still wouldn't forget the memories he have from the Mongolians.

As Reno left the house, he then when to the mercenary building.

Upon arriving, Theo and his 4 other people are waiting for him.

"You finally came."

As Theo gave a friendly smile. Reno ask.

"So what's our job today?"

Looking at the group. Theo was smiling as the group only shook there heads.

"Oh? Straight to the point. I like your attitude."

As Theo look at his companion Julius. He then spread the map that they going to do.

"Our job was to escort a young lady from the flyfish family."

As Theo pointed the location they are going. This makes Reno to be surprise as he ask.

"Isn't that a lake?"

Reno who looks confused look at Theo as he replied.

"Yes, the flyfish family was living in the lake for decades. Although we don't know why. Most of information we got are based on rumors. More over We didn't cared about it as long as they gave us money to pay."

As Theo finished, the man in armor added.

"The boss is right Reno, the flyfish family are the nobles of this territory so we don't want to cause troube so don't ask about them."

As the man in armor named Ross finished talking.

Reno only nodded and ask.

"So who is the young lady that we are going to escort?"

As the group look at each other. The purple haired girl name Rita spoke.

"We don't know, the one who gave us the mission was the personal butler of the flyfish family. Even though leader ask who we escort. The butler did spoke her name."

While Reno rub his chin, he then said.

"Isn't it a trap?"

As the group heard his speculation. They nodded there heads in agreement but theo replied.

"I don't think so, they have the noble seal in the paper to prove that they are saying is true."

As Reno heard it. He then think this seriously as the group was starts to make plans.

The old man who looks at his eldest daughter spoke.

"Katarina, are you sure about this? The seguntur family has send assassin to kill you."

As the father look at his daughter in fear. The young lady named Katarina only nodded.

"I have go father, if not. The royal family and the noble circle with start a civil wars in our country. We cannot have another war right after we win the previous war."

As Katarina spoke in determination. His father only shook his head and said.
