The next day, Megan and Joseph both had the day off from work
So they went to their parent's house with a happy smirk
Meanwhile, back at Target, everyone had to wait until their work got done
Before they could have any holiday fun.
The kids all lined up to see Santa
And Jacob listened to their wishes
And Tyler wrote them down on a scroll that swishes
Once Tyler finished writing,
He gave the list to Jacob
And he found it exciting
It checked it over once
And then he checked it over twice
And he told Jade and Eric to wrap gifts
For all the children, he thought it was nice
Jade and Eric wrapped the gifts
And then gave them to Fatima
Who delivered them to the children
Without falling off any cliffs
Meanwhile, Joseph and Megan were having fun at their parents' house
Joseph said, "This place sure isn't as quiet as a mouse."
Joseph and his father made lebkuchen cookies together
And when they got started, they thought a double batch would be better
Joseph was so close to keeping all his presents only for him
But thanks to his sister, his chances became slim
He revealed some of his gifts to his parents
Because he didn't have a choice
Megan was very convincing with her helping voice.
Joseph felt stupid when he found out he had his mom's gift all along
Megan said, "Don't feel stupid. That's not where you belong."
Joseph's mom, Katie, needed the oven at three o'clock
So she told Joseph and his dad, Kent, to speed up their cookie stalk
Afterward, Joseph tried humming Deck The Halls
But when he hit a high note, it looked like his voice falls
After he got a drink of Water, Joseph recovered
Then he tried to sing Deck The Halls, which is what his sister discovered
Megan said, "Joseph, don't. The TV is on, so you shouldn't sing in the living room."
Joseph said, "Where's your Christmas spirit? It's gone, I assume."
Megan said, "I have plenty of Christmas spirit.
I don't like it when you sing over my show."
Joseph said, "It's Christmas. People sing aloud all the time, you know."
Meanwhile, back at Target, the employees were decorating their tree
Ali said, "I can't tell you how beautiful this tree will be."
Marylyn then built a snowman outside
While Tyree, Nicole, and Ed all played Frosty The Snowman inside
When the shoppers heard them play,
They went over to the decorating committee's decoration display
And let their children play in the sleigh.
They then heard Cory, Sophia, and Chayce sing.
Because they got the jobs of being the Christmas carolers
With all sorts of Christmas carols and everything.
Meanwhile, Joseph wrapped his gifts for his father, mother, and brother
He placed them under the tree
And then got ready to flee
Joseph then played his Pokémon Brilliant Diamond game
On his Nintendo Switch that he didn't consider lame.
His messenger friend, Kellan, then messaged him.
And they talked about how the chances of them dueling again are slim.
His little brother, Noah, even played the Pokémon game.
And when it came to switching their Pokémon, neither had shame.
Joseph's dad, Kent, said, "To grandma is who we should send these cookies to. Then she can see what a great job you can do."
They then watched a Christmas movie before and after dinner
How The Grinch Stole Christmas was their winner.
Joseph started to sing,
But Adam didn't like it
So he told him to quit
Joseph said, "May I finish my song?"
Adam said, "No. It's way too long."
Joseph stopped singing Christmas songs.
Joseph said, "I'll stop singing, but here is where it belongs."
After a while, the family then went to have dessert
They had chocolate cake with peppermint frosting
Which is festive for the holidays and for slicing
Katie even let Joseph take a slice home since he liked it a lot
And Joseph thanked her for the slice that he got.
Joseph then guessed what wrapping paper his gifts were in
And he thought the red-striped ones
Since they're not too slim.
Megan then took them both home
And they went to their rooms, where they like to roam.
Meanwhile, back at the Target store
The business started to become a war
People cleaned out the shelves
And when their departments got sold out
the employees got some time to themselves.
People even gave money to people without homes when they saw them pout.
They even gave them presents from a box for donations
Some of which were people's creations.
When the clock struck midnight, the store closed.
Then the employees sang a song they had all composed.
On their way out, the employees locked up.
And they each went home with their very own Christmas coffee cup.
