Lunchtimes and Treesap

After watching students fighting with each other and seeing that Jaune get horribly defeated by that jerk Cardin,Team RRWBY and JNPR began eating lunch in the cafeteria. Nora began telling a story about a battle she had while Ren kept correcting her story, Jaune was feeling down while Pyrrha tried to cheer him up.

Everyone else was doing their own thing but only one thing was stuck in Rex's mind. Why is he still here in this world, and what was the purpose of him being there. He was so lost in thought that he didn't here Yang trying to talk to him.

"Rex. Rex. Hey Rex, you alive man" said Yang as she nudged his shoulders, breaking him out of his mind scape.

"Yea. I'm alive. Sorry was just thinking" he said as he looked at Yang.

"You feeling alright" said ruby as she saw Rex freaking out a little.

"Yea I'm fine. I've just been thinking about things".

"What kind of things" said Yang, curiously.

"Its nothing to be concerned about" he said with a bit of a stern voice.

Yang took notice of this a thought that he didn't want to talk about it and decided to talk about something she was curious about.

"If you don't want to talk about that, then how about... those interesting powers of yours" said Yang cheekily, knowing what would happen next.

"OHMYGODYES. Tell us about them. Its been bugging me forever. What are your powers. Please tell me" screamed Ruby as she shook Rex around vigorously.

"Calm down ruby" said Rex as he tried to calm her down.

"I for one am curious as well" said Ren as he heard every word. 

"Oh yea. Tell me again how you beat up that big birdy back in the forest" yelled Nora, chiming in.

"Yea come on, Rex. Tell us your story" said Yang.

Rex was getting freaked out. He wanted to tell his secrets but he didn't know how. He didn't want to tell them he was from another world and that they would think he was crazy. He was still panicking at the table until he heard a girl screaming.

Everyone looked over and saw Cardin Winchester, pulling on a rabbit girls ears. Rex saw this and decided it would be best to put an end to this. "If you'll excuse me" he said as he got up from his seat and began walking towards the bullies.

"Please stop pulling" yelled the girl. "Who's going to stop me from doing so" said Carter as he laughed.

"Try looking around, butthead" said a voice behind him. "Who the hell said that" as he turned around and saw Rex. "And who the hell are you to tell me otherwise" said Carter in his cocky attitude.

"I am the man who's going to teach you a lesson for hurting an innocent, rabbit girl. Why because no one else's seems to want to."

"Oh yeah and how are you going to do that" retorted Carter. Rex simply smiled and looked at him saying.

"Have you ever dreamed of flying like a bird." "I don't know Maybe as a kid. Why you gonna throw me, punk."

The room was getting tense as the two teams and everyone in the room saw the tow boys fighting. "Oh no. I'm not going to throw you. But I do have a question for you." "Oh yea and what's that."

"What's another word for loss" said Rex with a simply smirk on his face." Carter thought hard about and said "I don't know. What is it." "It's de-feet" chanted Rex as he formed his left punk buster and kicked Carter right across the room and crashed through the wall.

"Keep the change" said Rex then looked at the audience. "Roadhouse" ;) (Guess the reference)

Take 2

Rex formed his left Punk Buster and kicked Carter across the room and through the wall. Everyone was shocked as they had saw.

Rex deactivated his legs and helped the rabbit girl up. He then yelled across the room for everyone in the room to here "And that's what's going to happen to anyone who bullies other people" as he pointed at the hole in the wall.

"You alright" he asked.

"Yes, thank you for helping me. Oh my names Velvet by the way."

"You're welcome. Names Rex. Pleasure to meet you" he said as they shook hands and she began walking away.

He then proceeded to walk back to his seat and his friends praised him for standing up to the bullies. Especially Blake.

They began bombarding him with questions but Rex just thought in his mind. "I may still wonder why I'm stuck in this world, but..." as paused as he looked at his new friends asking questions but just saw their lips flapping then continued "but I might as well make the most of my time making friends here and helping other. It's what I do. Why, cause I'm just that cool" boasted Rex in his mind as he finished his lunch.

The Next day

Team RRWBY, JNPR, and CRDN we're out in the forest with their teacher, Glynda Goodwitch. Rex had tried to make a Wizard of Oz joke but no one got it or laughed at it and it just made Rex sigh in defeat.

"This world apparently doesn't have good movies in it, I suppose" thought Rex.

They began walking through red trees as Glynda said,

"Yes. The forest is beautiful but we are not here to sight see. Professor peach has asked you to bring home some samples from these trees and bring them back. And I am here to make sure none of you die" finished Glenda as she stopped and the rest of the groups followed suit.

"You are each to fill a jar full of sap from these trees. But be careful this forest is full of deadly Grimm creatures. So Be sure to stay with your teammates. And we will rendezvous back here at 4. Good luck" finished Glynda as Ruby and Yang smiled at each other. Ruby and her team began walking away from the other groups as Rex looked behind him and saw Cardin taking Jaune away from his team.

"Where is he going" thought Rex as he noticed Jaune and Pyrrha exchanging looks at each other before going different ways.

"Wonder what's with those two" thought Rex as he followed his teammates into the forest.

Timeskip

Team CRDN was laying in the grass waiting for Jaune to get back with the sap. He eventually did return with 6 jars of sap. He laid them on the ground and then fell on the ground.

"I think I am allergic to this stuff" said Jaune.

"Well done Jaune" said Cardin. "Now you may be wondering why I told you to get 6 jars when there's 5 of us."

"That's one of several questions I've asked myself this day" said jaune still laying on the ground.

"Well come with me and we'll show you" said Cardin as he smirked.

Team CRDN and Jaune looked down a hill as Th eh saw RRWBY and JNPR collecting sap.

"Umm Cardin. What's going on" said Jaune.

Cardin responded with "PAYBACK" as he glanced at Rex trying to get sap from a tree.

The team heard him struggling and said "Argh. These tree aren't giving me any of that stupid sap crap." He struggled today try and get some until her had an idea.

He yelled at the others and said "Goodwitch said nothing about cutting down trees, right."

"I don't think she did" said Blake.

Rex smirked at her response as the others took notice of this.

"What are you thinking Rex" said ruby then gasped saying "Are you going to use your powers again."

He looked at her saying "yep" as he popped the "p"

Ruby squealed in excitement as Rex backed up and began forming his builds. Out of his left arm popped that big old sword that the others saw him use against the death stalker.

In one swipe, he cut the tree down. The others gasped at what he was doing as ruby just squealed in excitement.

Cardin and the others saw this and he said "That guy down there."

"You mean Rex" said Jaune.

"Yes him. Thinks he's a hot shot just cause of those powers of his. He thinks he can just kick me and my team around. Well last night, boys, I had Jaune collect a lot of Rapier wasps and these things love sweets. So I think it's time we show that idiot a thing or two" as he got up with the others. Jaune got up and Cardin handed a jar to him saying "and you're going to throw it or I'm going to have a chat with Goodwitch and you'll be on the first airship out of Beacon.

Jaune walked up to the hill and tried to aim it at Rex who was still draining sap out of the tree he cut. He struggled to throw it at him until he told Cardin "no" and threw it at him. Cardin just laughed and his team began to kick and punch Jaune around.

"I'll make sure that they send you to mommy teeny tiny pieces" said Cardin as he tried to punch Jaune but hit his hand on something hard and dropped Jaune.

Jaune looked at his hands and saw that they were glowing. Cardin kicked saying "let's how much of a man you really are" as a roar could be heard behind them

The Ursa knocked Cardin aside since it smelled the sap on him as his team ran away.

The two teams began heading back to Goodwitch until they all heard the roar.

"Did you guys hear that" said Ruby

"I felt that" said Rex as he and the others say Cardin's team running away.

"Ursa. Ursa" was all one of them said as he ran into Yang. "Where is it" said Yang. He pointed ahead of him. "It's that way. It's got Cardin."

Pyrrha dropped her jar saying "Jaune. He's with them" and that was all Rex needed to hear. He formed his Rex rider and drove towards the roars. Ruby told her team to find Goodwitch while her, Pyrrha, and Weiss followed Rex.

Rex arrived on the scene and saw Jaune fighting the Ursa. The heard the others right behind him. Jaune was dodging the Ursa but kept getting tossed around. He cry started to charge at the beast until Pyrrha told him to wait. As he saw jaune swung his sword at the beast. Then he saw Pyrrha move her hand out as it glowed and saw how she began to stretch her arm out. He looked up and saw Jaune's shield glow and he blocked the swipe and he cut the Ursa's head clean off.

Ruby looked at Pyrrha in confusion saying "uh. What" and Weiss said "how did you" as Pyrrha answered.

"Ruby has her speed. You have your glyphs. Rex has his... whatever it is. And mine is polarity".

"Wow you can control poles" said Ruby.

"No you dunce. It means she can control magnets."

"Another thing I don't understand about this world. Semblances. People seem to have abilities that are also like mine, in a way. They seem to be a common thing as she mentioned about Weiss and glyphs or whatever and Ruby and her speed while this girl here has the power over Magnets" thought Rex as they left Jaune and Cardin to talk things out. But as Rex left, he began to wonder. "Could I possibly have a semblance. If so, how exactly could I unlock it. Maybe I could ask the others" thought Rex as he continued to walk away.
