GOT ADDICTED

Sitting in a car with a key in his hands and his foot on the accelerator, Humayun is testing it. Mr. Niaz Bukhsh, walks closer to his car with a prideful smile on his face and a cup of hot coffee in his right hand. Humayun steps out of the car and says with a sigh,

"It is done. I am going to call Zubair to pick this car up."

He moves weakly towards the table and picks up his phone.

"I am proud of you my boy! I see a very successful future ahead of you!"

Says Mr. Niaz Bukhsh proudly. Humayun glances at him with a sweet smile then commences to dial a number.

"It is 2:00.a.m son! Willn't he be sleeping?"

Asks Mr. Niaz Bukhsh softly, taking sips of hot coffee. He replies in tired and weary voice,

"No, He sleeps late and wakes up late too, like me. I discussed the entire details with him last night. He will p;ay me when the car will be sold to any third party after being refurbished and re-enameled."

He nods, taking the last sip of his tea whereas Humayun gets engaged in the discussion on the phone. As he gets free and turns back, Mr. Niaz Bukhsh says grievely,

"Sara didn't come tonight!"

Humayun sighs sitting on the chair and seems to become worried and agonized but keeps silent.

Mr. Niaz Bukhsh adds with a mirthful laughter,

"I am surprised about myself. Once, a few weeks ago, it was stupefying for us to see a girl here and now … we are missing her! Haha… We are now accustomed to spending time with her. Even the shop is looking charmless!"

Humayun laughs for a while, memorizing her first arrival in his shop with her plastered hand and his stone heart behavior with her and comparing that with what he is feeling right now. Faking a smile, as he knows the reason of her absence, he replies Mr. Niaz Bukhsh,

"She might be busy or have slept either!"

Staring at his face and noticing his way of talking, Mr. Bukhsh points his phone and says,

"You can call her on her number if you are missing her!"

Peering his phone for a while placed on the table, he replies patiently, lowering his head down,

"What if she might have slept or been busy? I don't want to disturb her!"

Mr. Niaz Bukhsh picks up the empty cup, pats his shoulder and leaves. Humayun says to himself, while taking a deep breathe,

"I want to see her but where to find her? I can't imagine going to his hostel and creating more problems for her. I hope she is feeling better. Hope we meet soon!"
