Despair Child! Despair Pt 2 / Hope?
"Hurin, O shitty son of mine, I don't care about myself but will you even kill your own mother and your son to achieve your goals, Ryu is just a kid, he is your son by blood, why are you doing this"
Hurin cut him off whilst he was still speaking with a bout of laughter.
"Do you think I care about family, in your youth, you clung to hopeless beliefs of bonds and all that, at the end you were betrayed, your cultivation destroyed, you can only use Mekra slightly due to how high your cultivation was before, do you know how I suffered because you trusted in the wrong people?.
At this, he paused and materialized an Iron Maiden which had spirit rats instead of spikes.
(A.N : An Iron Maiden is a torture/killing device, you can find images on Google, Spirit Rats are essentially rats but bigger with sharp tusks).
"These lovely rats of mine will strip you of your body, since your previous cultivation rank does boost your bodily functions, your body is a walking tonic in my eyes, I'll make a pill out of it", with these words, he grabbed James and threw him into the Iron Maiden which closed in on itself.
He teleported to his mother who was having a mental breakdown at that point after she saw what happened to David and Ryu. he ran her through with his right hand, he then cast a spell saying "Fire Blaze" which he proceeded to launch at her.
Yes, he burnt his mother alive.
He turned around with an impeccable smile on his face as if he just didn't throw his father into an Iron Maiden then burning his mother alive the next moment, he walked towards Ryu and held up his face by the chin.
"Yo, Ryu or what did that geezer call you again, how does sinking into despair feel, I feel ontop of the world right now, familial despair is the best, your mother gives me one everytime she pumps out another child, but I have to erase her memories, there's no fun in that now, right?
"So therefore, despair child! despair, let me etch this into my memory, getting stronger while dishing out despair is the best. I used to pray for days like this". Ryu looked at him with hate filled eyes as he ranted on.
A few moments later, the Iron Maiden opened, only a husk was left of David, the husk fell out leaving the swollen Spirit Rats. "As expected of one of the strongest men then, even that can't make you die, well I'll just leave you here to rot" Hurin said whilst stretching his hand towards the rats in a squeezing motion.
The rats all opened an aperture on their bellies, a golden liquid came out of each aperture, the liquid coalesced at a single spot to form a golden pill. The pill floated over to Hurin who popped it into his mouth at once. He levitated and grabbed hold of the wishing rock flying in the sky.
"Well, I'll be off now losers, not like any of you could pose a challenge to me in the first place". He casted more fireballs at his mother, after a while all that was left were ashes, he went to the ashes, he gathered them together. Once he was done with all that, he blew the ashes onto David and Ryu, the he said "Here's a toast to my coming rise power, so long losers".
He laughed hysterically while watching Ryu dragging his body across the ground towards David. After a while, he apparently got bored of watching, he then ripped open a hole in space, the elders flocked to him as he stepped into the spatial hole. The portal closed in on them leaving 2 half dead bodies and some ashes on the ground, David's body was slowly regenerating. At that moment, Ryu passed out.
About 2 hours later, David's body looked more like a normal human body, he looked around seeing only himself and Ryu and a spot discoloured by ashes, he pulled himself to his feet and the ashes Hurin sprinkled on him feel off, he felt the ashes and called out "Helen?", he knelt down and wept profusely. He then went to Ryu, he carried him up and cleaned him up after which he placed him by the ruins of the house.
After a moment of contemplation, David sighed. He starting searching through the ruins of the house, after a while he brought out a sword and a rod with inscriptions on it. He drew an array on the ground, the array had two 'eyes' at the centre, he laid Ryu in one eye, then he sat down in the other eye. The array lit up whilst the sky was covered with dark clouds similar to the ones at Ryu's birth.
"As expected of something taboo, but we have no other way but this, to survive, we must sacrifice" he mused for a while. He bit his thumb, placed it on the ground letting his blood flow freely. In no time, the blood spread to all crevices of the array which took on a reddish glow.
"Taboo above taboo, world above worlds, Power above powers, do as you've been named, I David take my all in all, leave me with nothing and give the other what he lacks, I offer up my soul in exchange'. As soon as he finished chanting, the array lit up with a blinding glow. His body decomposed into a colorless liquid. The liquid moved across the array lines into Ryu's body.
Inside Ryu's body, there was a datian made out of Mekra, but as the fluid which was once David flowed in, it broke down the datian and mixed with it to form a solid datian.
After the liquid fully integrated with Ryu's body, a giant mouth opened up in space, the array shrank into a ball, at the centre of the ball was a spectral substance that had David's face.
The ball was sucked into the mouth and Ryu was left unconscious on the ground.
