Vincent closed all of the tabs and looked at his inventory. He had opened the prize boxes he had earned during his training. He gained a pair of short axes, villain points, and a spear.

The short axes were perfect for Vincent. They were enchanted with runes that allowed the elements of water and lightning. The spear was enchanted with runes that allowed the element of earth.

'System, where is the tab about intent?'

[The intent tab is locked. It will be unlocked once the Host is awakened.]

Vincent wanted to pull his hair out. He was sick and tired of everything being blocked because of the awakening. He was about to change into his regular training clothes, but a knock sounded at his door.

"Vincent, come eat dinner with everyone. You leave for the Genormea solar system two days from now." Janet said through the door. "I will be there shortly." Vincent ran his fingers through his hair and sighed. He got up and went to the dining room.

The entire family was there waiting for him. Ryker, as usual, was drinking whiskey and slouching in his chair. Blake was waving his hand in front of himself, probably doing calculations. Lyla was leaning on the table with a glass of wine.

Kyle wasn't in his uniform and was dressed casually. He did a small wave at Vincent as he sat down. Bridget seemed stressed but still smiled at Vincent. Janet and Kandice were chatting with each other. Janet had a mischievous twinkle in her eye as she looked at Vincent.

Richard took his fork and clanged it against his glass. "Everyone, as you know, it is the time for the awakening to happen. Your baby brother is going to awaken." They all cheered and banged on the table.

Patty didn't stop them and even joined in on the banging. "It is exhilarating to watch him awaken. He leaves two days from now, so we must help him prepare for it. Who will go first?"

Ryker jumped up out of his seat. "Me! I will go first as it is only right as the oldest." Ryker presented Vincent with an empty bottle.

"Vincent, this bottle will hold up to five tons of water or liquid. It will also purify and expel all harmful bacteria." Vincent gratefully accepted and stored it inside his bracelet.

Blake handed him a card. "There isn't much I can do besides support you financially, so this card should be more than enough."

Vincent didn't ask how much was on the card and just put it away. Lyla tossed him a small bag of beans. "Each bean can be eaten as three meals for one day. You can water them or swallow them directly."

Kyle pulled out some wire and passed it to Vincent. "This wire is made from the webbing of an ascendant realm arachnid. It can be flexible as bamboo or sharper than a sword when pulled tight." Vincent took the two spools of wire carefully.

Bridget pulled out multiple skins and furs of different beasts. "I hope these can help you in some way." Vincent could tell she was nervous. "I can think of a few ways to use these. I can use them to throw off other animals or confuse my enemies."

Bridget smiled, relaxed, and leaned back in her chair.

Janet looked at Vincent and gestured for him to close his eyes. She then spoke some words that Vincent didn't understand.

Vincent felt as if a shield of some sort had fallen over him. "I cast a blessing and a ward over you. The blessing will keep you from falling into too much trouble, and the ward is there so nothing can harm your spirit."

Kandice was the last one. She waved her hand, and a vast trunk appeared. "Inside of the trunk is every kind of potion you could need. I also threw in some skill books on first aid." Vincent looked around the table and smiled with tears in his eyes.

Richard cleared his throat. "Don't cry just yet. Patty and I haven't given you anything yet." Richard clapped his hand, and Freddy bought out three things. They were a stack of clothes with the Grimm's family crest, a book, and a key. "The clothes you can wear when you set off two days from now. The book and key will only be useful during your awakening."

Vincent was indeed on the verge of tears now. Patty was having trouble keeping herself from crying, but she held on. "I know that you have a lot of affinities, but you didn't have any time to study them. I bought all the books I could on your elements and how they affect the world." Vincent choked up as he thanked them.

The rest of the dinner was spent with all of them laughing. Vincent went back to his room with a smile on his face. He stopped at the door and saw a long box on the bed. He walked over, saw a note, and read it.

[To our only disciple, we are incredibly proud of you. We all received this gift from our master when we had to go through the awakening. Wear it with pride and know we are watching over you, and so is our Master Caden.]

Vincent opened the box and saw a beautiful forest green cloak with black outlines inside the box. Vincent reached in and touched it. It felt like it was a part of him and as if it had been waiting for him to pick it up.

He put it on, and it shrunk to fit his size. 'I'm wearing this.' The cloak went from being long-sleeved with a hood to being a vest.

Vincent tried seeing the description of it, but all he got was question marks. The only thing he learned about the cloak was its name.

The cloak's name made goosebumps appear all over his body and caused his soul to shiver.

'Comjurring Death. That is such a badass name.' Vincent thought about changing into a muscle shirt, and it did. He climbed into bed and relaxed. 'All I have to do now is read a few books.' He closed his eyes and went to sleep.
