The Era of a Villain

Good? Bad? Strong? Weak? How are they decided? A young man, along with 40% of the population of the Earth, is transported to a different world. The young man was in a hospital bed in a coma, blissfully unaware he was not on the same—planet he was born on. Imagine waking in an unknown place with a purple-skinned man checking your vitals. 'Oh, a purple man? How nice they bought Barney the dinosaur to see me.' "Doctor! Doctor, the man passed out!" Vincent did not pass out; he closed his eyes because the lights blinded him. "Vincent Frost, the being who has sponsored you, has chosen you to be a villain. The villain system is now bounded and can't be removed." Vincent's mind, which was still cloudy, became clear instantly. He immediately shot up in his bed and screamed. You have to be kidding me! I created the cover using Webnovel tools; it has nothing to do with my character. Join our so-called villain and his journey to becoming a villain.

First Impressions

Vincent realized as he got closer to the training instructor he was huge. He stood at least ten feet tall and looked like he could bench press two Mark Henry's. Vincent gulped as he stood in front of him.

"The principal notified me of your situation, but that does not mean I will be lenient on you. You will be expected to complete all drills to the best of your abilities. My name is Gaussian. Call me Instructor Gus."

'How can his voice reach me like we were the same height? His voice is also high-pitched and not deep for a man his stature.'

Suddenly, Gus seemed to shrink from his towering height to seven feet and two inches. Vincent was shocked, and Gus himself smiled in approval.

"Your eyes work fine, and you have some ambitions. Take out your training weapon and follow me. You will learn about skills in your theoretical classes, and we learn how to use them practically and tactically inside training rooms."

That put a stop to the questions Vincent wanted to ask. He summoned his halberd. Gus rubbed his chin in thought. "A halberd, huh? Not many combat specialists use halberds these days, but luckily, we have a few here. They are all old and highly picky, but if you gain even one of them as your master, then you will be set for life."

Gus led Vincent down the halls of the training room. Each room had a class with a combat specialist teaching the students. The classes consisted of cold weapons and modern-day ones. There was a joint class of sword users versus gunslingers in one room. Vincent had to be called by Gus to keep up. They soon reached a neglected portion of the training room.

The walls were covered in old slash marks and had holes in them. Vincent gave Gus a look. "Do not give me that look. There is a reason why things are the way they are."

They reached the only room in the hall. Gus knocked on the door and then turned to Vincent. "I have done my job, kiddo. Good luck!" He vanished from where he stood, leaving Vincent alone in the hall.

The door opened by itself. Vincent caught chills down his back. "I-I'm Vincent Frost; I was guided here by Instructor Gus." He received no response. He gripped his halberd tighter and steeled himself. "Come on, Vincent. Remember, the men of the Frost are always cold and calm." He smacked himself on his face and took a deep breath.

With unsteady steps, he walked inside of the darkness. He didn't know that six figures were watching his every move. They were the masters he was supposed to impress. One of the figures spoke out in a whisper.

"I evaluated the last one. Who turn is it this time?" A woman's silhouette moved. "It is my turn. I will go easy on him." A man's voice grunted. "Pyea, he has not gone through the awakening process yet." Pyea smiled in understanding and disappeared from her position.

Vincent was constantly watching his surroundings. He could feel himself being hunted, making goosebumps appear all over him. The lights were turned on in an instant, and he was blinded. He rolled forward out of instinct. He turned around and faced his unknown assailant. He paused momentarily before they attacked him again.

"I appreciate your remarks on my beauty, but that will not help you here." He dodged under a swing of her hammer. 'Can every woman read my mind!? How can she wield such a heavy weapon!' He thought as he dodged again from a crushing swing from above.

"Haha! No boy, only the strong can intrude into the minds of others. Now focus!" Vincent flipped backward and rolled again to gain space. The woman finally stopped. "Your instincts are sharp, but enough of dodging my attacks."

Vincent was only able to lean out of the way of her stab. 'Stabbing with a hammer!??' He swung his halberd with the hammer side facing upward. Pyea blocked it with her hand. She didn't give him any respite as she let go of her hammer and punched him in the face. Vincent had been punched before, but the punches from the kids at school were nowhere near as painful.

Vincent rolled with the momentum and gripped his halberd. "Nice Kid! You held onto your weapon, never let go of it, even in death." Pyea got into a baseball stance. Vincent did not know what she would do, but his instincts told him he could not dodge it. Left with no other choice, he got into the same stance.

This brought a smile to Pyea's face. "Now you are being a warrior." Vincent narrowed his eyes and watched her movements. He didn't dare blink in fear of missing her attack. Pyea smiled and then flashed forward. Vincent's eyes widened, but he still swung.

*Dong*

A soundwave erupted from both hammers, meeting each other. The result was Vincent flying back and hitting the wall, destroying his halberd. Vincent stood in a daze, clutching what remained of his halberd in his hand. Blood was slowly trickling from his face.

He spat out a few teeth as well. He could feel himself getting angry at the woman in front of him. The thoughts about saving his siblings flashed through his head. The idea of them suffering unimaginable pain stroked the flames of anger. 'Control yourself! She isn't the person who took them.'

Pyea naturally heard his thoughts and snorted. "Hey, brat! Letting go is okay; I can handle a weakling like you." That was the last push Vincent needed for him to plunge over the edge.
