Chapter 39: Temple Of Origin II

After his inventory Upgrade, Valmus begun to loot the Treasury all the coins, recipes, potions, artifacts none was spared with the exception of a pile Gold glowing Stones.

Dimitri's essay was really helpful as he described his encounter with the being of the Temple in a certain paragraph he had said.

"Before being cursed I remember the Goddess saying 'Its a shame you humans are too Curious for your own good, I would have let you go if only you took the treasures, but... wanting the Cores of my siblings that is a Sin equal to the Curse I'll Damn you with.' This led me to wonder if I had cleared the Treasury before trying to take the Cores, wouldn't I have been the richest player in Vestia?"

His question was sadly left unanswered at the time but Valmus was currently answering the mans question.

After fully clearing out the Treasury Valmus finally approached the Stones and took a heavy breath, just as he was about to touch them, one of the four Metal Knights within the Treasury moved ready to slash Valmus who prepared widened the distance as he quickly used his Technique.

[One Sword to Cut The Heavens: Tyrfing]

This Knight was a Guardian who nearly killed Dimitri if not for the fact that he used one of those Gold glowing Stones as a shield and weapon.

Thousands of cuts manifested barraging the Knight while Valmus made his way toward the Gold glowing Stones, just as he was about to pick one however a voice finally spoke.

[Humans and your greed, I let you take my treasures but you still want more. I warn you with my knight but still persist.... DIE.]

The Voice ordered, Valmus watched as his HP fell to 1, he decisively used his Trait Skill Immortal Soul granting him short Invulnerability.

[Hoo... you survived?] The voice rang out.

[Hmm since you even defy my verdict of Death, then try to Deny my Verdict of Curse.]

The Player base erupted as many laughed in disdain

"Serves him right he withheld the full information about the Dungeons!" One player complained after dying too many times.

"It's about time he's nerfed, the guy was being annoying, his system announcements were too much."

More and more players vented out or cursed at Valmus thinking it was his misfortune and luck finally running out.

****

"This isn't this too much?!" Valmus shouted shocked by what he read in the curse Description.

[[Forbidden Grade: Nde'nkah's Curse

Effect 5. You will be prone to misfortune be it large or small.]]

[Too much? Your lucky that my current state doesn't allow me to surpass the Forbidden Grade otherwise I would have Damned you with a Primeval Curse.] The Goddess stated not minding the bewildered Valmus

"T-this please reconsider this, I didn't even touch your Cores... and besides which sane person would accept death when they have a means to defend themselves?!" he shouted

this curse was too much, it was out of his calculations.

Dimitri never released the details of his curse only his blessing which was the reason why Valmus even thought it might be a good bargain.

But this situation wasn't something he had planned for, and thus he chose the only way out walking forward with the hopes that he could get a blessing similar to Dimitri.... hopefully

[....]

[As much as you try to convince me otherwise, Forbidden Grade Curses are not easy to dispell. Even I the bestower must pay a price, there's no reason for me to do so]

"So as long as there's a reason you'll dispell it?"

[Indeed... ]

"Then please... I'll do anything within my capabilities!"

[That's the thing.... there's nothing you can help me with within your capabilities, your a cripple fool at Tier 0. What aid can you give to a Primeval Goddess?]

Valmus fell silent not sure how to proceed, he gathered his wits calming himself untill he could think straight.

"Then sponsor my growth, your a Primeval right?! Then you surely have your means. Out of all the Blessed I can swear by my soul I'm second to none even in my weakened state!" he bellowed.

[Blessed?... It seems Vestia has made a move, but for the Primeval will to act.... It seems I can no longer bide my time.

If you are really the strongest of Vestia's blessed, then I might have a task for you.

My current state is one that hinders me greatly, to put it simply my will is bound to this Temple. The task for you is to find my Four Siblings Death, Order, Chaos and Life, give them each one of my Origin Stones and deliver the message ' Nde'nkah Claims her debt in the Banquet of Stars'.

You'll also have to find me a being of Creation and Destruction or from the Lineage of Creation and Destruction along with the Divine Essence of a Hundred Gods.]

The wants of the Goddess were alarming as none seemed simpler than the last to this Valmus sighed inwardly cursing Dimitri for his incomplete information.

'You had one job to be specific, your quest was to mearly enter the high ranks of the Church! I'll have to Fucking find Primordials!' he lamented before accepting his new Quest.
