Chapter 3: The Valerians

A family of four sat in the living room, engrossed in a TV show as the laughed heartily

"These dumb protagonist with their stupid choices," laughed one of the boys who had brown hair with green tips that matched his green Jade eyes he had a lithe slender build dressed in casual wear of a t-shirt and short.

"I know right, who the hell goes to check the weird sound in a horror movie," a girl with brown hair and blue-green tips added her eyes each bearing a different color. She was one of the few with the condition of Heterochromia. She was well endowed with an average bust but an overbearing ass and hips that would make a majority of males turn to peek

"...don't they know it's a horror movie," she laughed as she chugged her drink.

"Of course they do... they're just dumb that way," another boy added he was taller then the two and resembled them both albeit faintly, his hair was brown but with blue tips and his eyes were aqua blue.

"You dumb fucks need to go to bed! Especially you Clara, your high school finals are around the corner don't let your stupid brothers distract you," a middle-aged man shouted he just like the rest had brown hair but his eyes were aqua blue and had a much more robust physique than them all albeit a regressing one.

"Come on pops cut her some slack she studies too hard, I don't want a nerd of a little sis," one of the boys defended as his gaze shifted from the screen

"You are one to talk Ethan weren't you a delinquent in school as If I want another one of you," the father shouted "sheesh old man we both know you just don't want us seeing you screaming when watching this..." one of the boys chimed in as he shook his head in disappointment "...to think you'd use our cute little sister as a scale goat" he sighed before dodging a flying slipper

"I dare you to say that again Carl!" he roaed as the house turned into a field of chase until they heard a thud upstairs.

" Which of you two asked their girlfriends to sneak in?" he asked staring daggers at the two boys.

"Not me this time," Ethan stated as he shook his head "neither did I ..." Carl replied as his gaze settled on Clara before putting on a tender smile which did not have an ounce of tenderness as he asked

"Clara my dear did you invite a boy over?" his voice so chilling that his father stepped back

' Fuck he's still has siscon tendancies!' he exclaimed inwardly

"N-no I have never done so," she stuttered, her brother when serious was frightening his easy going smile is replaced by a scary grin that made her shudder.

"Hmm is that so.." he rubbed his chin as his eyes settled on his father his eyes brightened as he asked "pops are you finally popping your cherry after all these years? you should have told as to leave the house," he stated with a heart warming smile.

Ethan broke into a laugh before abruptly turning silent due to their fathers gaze "Carl..." he begun his voice filled with utmost seriousness which was cut short by Carl "I know don't talk about That... I know," he sighed before apologizing " sorry Dad."

"Well aren't you all as lively as ever," a voice commented as it descended the stairs drawings their attention.

Although they were familiar with the voice his current outlook was vastly different from what they were used to, despite being the same he felt very different.

"Hey Carl does Sam have twin brother?" Ethan asked "None that I know of I think he's high, he tends to give of a different vibe every time he's high," he answered

"I'm not high you dumb fuck, I just needed a change in clothes mine were... well nasty," he commented

"You're finally realizing your lack of fashion?! No wonder you feel different," Clara laughed as she slapped her knee earning laughs from her brothers.

Their father smiled as he watched his three kids "how did I raise this unruly bunch."

After a few laughs with Carl's old man, Ethan and Clara the two best friends excused themselves ascending to the roof where they usually hid when they were younger.

Sam could almost hear their laughs and echoes as they climbed up the stairs, he couldn't help but smile lightly as he thought inwardly.

'Feels just like home, a second home but home nonetheless.'

He and Carl had known each other for as long as he could remember, he just one day found himself with an annoying friend that turned to he his brother over the years.

Up the roof of Carl's house he sat with Sam as they watched the moon lit night while having a drink.

"So will you be playing the game, I'm thinking of going pro once Vestia Online comes out," Sam stated as he took a sip of his cola

"I don't know quite frankly my pops has been having it rough these days at the construction site, I'm thinking of lending him a hand and quit playing all together," he stated "if I sell my current character from WarKings plus items it might fetch enough to boost us for a couple of months without him being overly strained."

"I see.. it wouldn't be as fun without you but I understand," Sam sighed as he nodded

"But if thinks workout for the better I'd be glad to play again with you 'Aegis'," he called out his in game name earning a laugh.

"I do hope so 'Valmus', but you should stop playing incognito your too talented," he added before taking a sip.

"And stop your chuuni nonsense, in WarKings you played for the Dark faction, in Knights and Valor you played Neutral, so I'm guessing this time you'll play light Faction? Your one of the few people I've seen changing classes without facing roadblocks," he chuckled as he took another sip
