Chapter 19: War Of Havens II

"You! How did you survive?" Kaiser questioned his shock replaced by a stern seriousness.

"You should have made better life choices, there something one man does another will never consider doing even if they are on their last breaths." Valmus replied, he could swear he saw Kaiser's expression crunch up as if he had just tasted the most bitter of things. But it happened too for Valmus to be sure.

He looked around and could see the bodies of the dead Gods all of them mauled by their attacker, the Primal forest had already drunk thousands of liters of the gods blood and was currently full.

A Gods Vitality was truly frightening as even in death their bodies still lived. "Can I take their bodies? There's something I want to experiment on." Valmus asked not wanting to disrupt whatever ritual or deal that may have been set up between Kaiser, the two Immortal beasts and the Primal Forest.

"We have no use of their bodies." The Black Dragon replied almost instantly, its scales still held their former majesty as if battling a god wasn't enough to dent it's natural armour.

"Neither Do I." Kaiser added after some thought.

The Primal forest also replied in a rather straight forward manner, it picked up the bodies of the three Fallen Gods and dropped them at his feet.

Valmus smiled as he stored the Bodies in his Pocket Coffers. ' I wonder what'll happen when an independent space able to hold life gates bathed by the blood and Bodies of gods.' He mused inwardly.

"We're done here, soon the Divine Realm will fall onto the Central Desert . Be there before it happens, that will be our battlefield where our last war will happen." Kaiser ordered as his incarnation faded away, Valmus sighed in relief as an unimaginable weight was lifted from him.

He stared at the Golden blood on his hands that still carried the warmth any blood flowing within a body would, he brought the blood towards his mouth and licked.

His whole body trembled in Euphoria as his eyes zoned out and his vision blurred,  he could feel his world spinning and a distant notification from the system.

He was high on a God blood, something he never thought could happen. A few minutes later he fell back to earth harder than he had ascended and was extremely tempted to now drink the blood rather than mearly licking.

"I'd advise you to stop, a Gods blood can be addictive. The only reason you've survived consuming it is because of your current constitution and your absurd willpower." The Chimera warned after noticing Valmus immobile state for quote some time

"Don't push yourself too far, there's still a war to fight. After it's all over and done, you'll have the chance to drink their blood to your heart's content." The Black dragon added advising his fellow warrior.

Valmus quickly sobered up and chose to try something he wouldn't have normally done.

"The Primal Forest Amazon, would you be able to spare some resources for me?" He whispered his question.

During his immersion as Kaiser her had learnt a lot of things, things that sadly now reduced the worth of his deal with Ursala but he didn't complain, he couldn't really after all who knew he would be able to relive the memories of a former human who ascended.

The Primal Forest trembled, a shockwave that all the beings within the forest felt. It glowed dimly with a jade-emerald light before returning to it's former state.

The earth before Valmus parted as seven things appeared before him.

An egg, A seed, A rock, A Green Jade, A fruit, A Bowl of Sap, A Bowl of Nectar and a Tome.

Valmus didn't know what they were, but he could tell that they were old, ancient even. He stored them away into his Pocket Coffers and lightly bowed a thank you at the Primal Forest.

He climbed ontop of the Chimeras back and laid on it as he watched the skies, he was exhausted mentally but was physically fine. He let his thoughts wander before ultimately succumbing to his slumber.

"He's a good lad." The dragon spoke after passing a glance at the now unconscious Valmus.

"That he is, he's also a bit greedy though but given the results his greed was warranted." The chimera praised.

"Will Ursala still not join us?" The Dragon asked.

"She won't, and even I wouldn't want her to. After all she's just had her first child after so many years, asking her to join us now would be depriving that child of a mother." The Chimera explained.

"I understand but, it would have been reassuring knowing that our old friend has our back." The dragon sighed.

"She does, she always does. If ever we fall, she'll raise the Great Ocean until it drowns the Gargantuan mountains. Or alternatively look after you daughter, how is she these days?" The chimera joked before broaching onto a different topic.

"Who Raya? She's been alright, she's become as fierce as her mother. She tries to sneak attack me everytime we meet." He laughed at his daughters mischief. "She says she's training to be a shadow dragon, despite her lineage as a Black dragon. I hope her innocence and naivety are stolen from her too early as was in our case." He sighed somberly.

"That I hope so too." The Chimera added as they marched towards the Converging Desert where the final battle would be held.

The Skies were now red covered in dark clouds, it was a somber sight that clearly foretold what was to come.

A gruesome battle that would reshape the Haven for better or worse, only the winners could write history as heros and only the losers would be written as villains no matter how moral or righteous their actions were.

The Chimera hoped that it's name would not be tarnished years yo come simply because he failed to avenge his fallen Clan, Love and Family.
