Valmus knew that his choices would make the system to generate a quest and that it would calculate various plausible outcomes that would have an undeniably high chance of happening and ensure they are part of your quest objectives since one way or the other you'd have to fulfill it.
An objective update from the system mean that a variable has occured within it's calculations that have changed one, many or all they forth coming objectives.
This outcome would force the system despite it's sealed functions to show the player their current progress and the changes in their incoming quest.
Valmus chose not to open the system log at the moment, firstly because he was in the presence of an extremely powerful being and secondly because they were in a domain of sorts.
The system was sealed of within bubbles not because the developers wish to make a players gaming experience harder but to maintain the aspect of reality.
Bubbles were home to extremely powerful and experienced beings, they would obviously Sense the anomaly that is the system when wantonly accessed by players be it pro or noobs.
This would force the developers to issue more restrictive commands over their alogarithms and codes thereby overwhelming the games matrix.
But Valmus knew this was all a load of bullshit, after all Vestia wasn't....
He paused and did not let himself finish that thought after all who was to say the owner of this domain couldn't pry into his mind.
"An incarnation using his vessel would be too dangerous for the human, he will die." The chimeras voice rumbled.
"I know, but so will the others it's the price to pay for maintaining the pace of our plan." The man replied directly not going around bushes trying to avoid the Chimera's complaint.
"I don't want to die." Valmus stated swiftly, his life was being discussed like a coin being bargained by merchants.
"I never said it was your choice to make." The man countered lightly
"It's still mine, my life is my own. I will not be a pawn in your schemes if even my life can be forfeited. It might be worthless to you but to me it's worth all of existence." Valmus replied sharply.
"So what do you propose human, that I let plans that have been in motions for years fail just because you thunk your life is worth something? Spare me the theatrics and get to it, what is it you desire?" The man asked finely seeing through whatever stunt Valmus was trying to pull.
"Simple really, seeing as your powerful and all. Make my vessel strong enough to host a being of your might. That'll be the payment of my service, making my body strong." Valmus offered
"You want me to make you a Demi-god?" The man questioned with a raised brow, wasn't this human a bit too daring.
"If that's the level you need, your mearly raising my constitution nothing else. Since you'll only be incarnation and not possessing me that means my soul would be untouched and my mind only exposed to whispers of your." Valmus explained, he was formerly a powerful being so he was keenly aware of some grey lines most would more than likely abuse.
The man on the throne narrowed his eyes for the first time, the human infront of him was cunning to say the least. He had surprisingly outmaneuvered him with his words to that he commended him.
"You seem to be deeply informed." He probed releasing abit of his presence.
"Indeed, if you live long enough you pick up a thing or two." Valmus replied calmly unperturbed by the pressure.
The man stared at Valmus for a few seconds more before lifting his pressure, he had seen enough of the boy to know that if given a strong enough body he could be a menace on the battlefield.
The only question was should he trust an invader, an anomaly at that. Should he really open his gates to a variable that may hasten his plans to victory or completely flip over the table and bring chaos.
'Only time will tell, no matter how little it is.'
"Fine I agree, I'll grant you a demigod constitution. If you'd excuse us M''oieri, I'll send you companion once I'm done." The man was about to send the Chimera away when it spoke.
"I would like to use one of my three remaining favour, I promised the boy twelve refinements and one elevation of his state of being.'
"I've partially completed my side of the deal with exception of the elevation of state and two refinement one of body another of soul."
"I would like for you to finish my part of the deal along with whatever your about to do with him." He explained himself hastily before the man could send him away, he said his piece.
The man on the throne scowled as he sent a stern gaze on Valmus as if asking 'did you plan all this?' yo which Valmus shrugged.
The man sighed as he rubbed his temples, refining of the body and soul was no issue, upgrading his constitution to that if a demi-gods was no issue.
But elevating his state of being would prove to be quite a hassle but he would need to talk to a rather annoying character.
"Fine, it will be done but I'll be expecting more from you." He paused before eyeing Valmus and added. " Both of you."
The Chimera bowed lightly before being carried away by the darkness. Valmus remained standing not knowing what to do he remained silent as the man did whatever he was doing.
After a few groans and silent curses the man opened his black eyes and growled.
" You better be worth it, otherwise." He didn't continue but Valmus already knew full enough what he implied.
'Or else I'll end you myself. Good luck with that.' He grinned as a wave of gold crashed down on his existence, he could feel ethereal chains shattering as he shed off various weakness that were bound to the human race but still maintained his humanity.
While this was going on his body and soul were being refined by a powerful man who could scheme against gods.
The man's refinement and that ehich he underwent while within the Great Ocean were like day and night. The man's refinement was potent extremely potent to the point where Valmus assumed that this was the demi-god constitution but boy was he wrong.
Once his body refinement was done the man prickled his finger an let a single drop of blood fall onto Valmus.
Valmus could see a golden drop of blood which seemed to weigh Galaxies approaching him at speed that would be beyond light years, at that moment Valmus knew he was going to die.
Not in a bloody war, not by the blade or maws of a beast. But by the weight carried by the drop of a God's blood for only the divine have their blood in gold.
