The Mistress (1)

"As you say, Your Highness." He bowed his head before Nexus before walking his way out of the hall to make the necessary preparations according to his king's demand.

He knew that he had to make sure that Nexus's private chambers were ready in advance before he went there to receive his mistress who wasn't easy to find. The minister had his doubts about her identity as she never showed her face to anyone. She always had a blue hooded cloak which not only covered her body, but also hid her face from every prying eye.

There was only one thing which the minister knew about her. Her voice could give any creature, angel or not, shivers. It was too shrilly even for a woman. He had always wondered what the king liked about the lady, but never brought the question up before Nexus for his own good.
