Stubborn Sheba
*a year later*
"Nathan" khalan called from the back of the hut.
"Yes" he answered, as he averted his gaze from the cow he was milking to the beautiful seventeen year old female, standing before him. "What is it khalan? ". He asked as he looked at her from head to toe.
"Its the horses again" she said with a pout.
"What did the horses do this time" he asked now standing up from where squated.
"I drew water from the well and gave them to drink, but they refused to. I bent them over to the water l drew but they still insisted on not drinking" she said looking frustrated.
Lucifer just looked at her dumbfounded, how can be upset over mere horses. Horses that were his gift to her on her Seventeenth birthday. After what happened to her on her sixteenth birthday, he never again headed to taking her outside the barrier, no matter how she pleaded to him. Rather, he extended the barrier and made the environment a more lively one, lively enough for her not to get bored.
He had started a mini farm in there, of just three cows and two horses. The cows stayed in a dwarf fenced lay out at the front of the hut, while horses stayed at the back, in the stable he had built were both khalan's, expect for his horse that he had before which has his own stable separately at the back of the hut too. There was a small garden as well that he planted for her, so that she can rest her intrest in them, and not think of leaving the barrier. And it indeed worked.
She now cared only about the horses and cows, most of all the garden. She spent almost all her time in there, and never gets bored. She took good care of them that even Lucifer was happy that he had made that decision.
"How about you just let them be, maybe there are not just in the mood for a drink". He said casually as he knew very well that his Sheba won't listen because she was very stubborn.
"No Nathan, l won't let them be " she said with anger written all over her face.
"Why is that? " He asked, looking at her like he was studying her.
"Well, because l own them and l tell them what to do, not the other way round" she said with authority as she crossed her arms over her chest.
Lucifer looked her amused. She really was something. Nevertheless, he wasn't surprised atall he knew she was stubborn and wouldn't heed to whatever he was saying.
"Ok then, suite yourself. But be very careful khalan because those horses are more stubborn than you are " he said to her with a smirk.
"Whatever " khalan retorted as she left him for the back yard. She saw the horses feeding peacefully on the hay she had given them earlier. She placed her hands on two of them, they were not fully grown yet but they can be ridden.
"Why have you both refused to drink the water l drew for you, huh? " she asked as she creased their hair. " Do you both have any idea of what it took me to draw the water for you from the well, of course you don't " she was now upset and her crease on their hair now turned to a tight hold, As she forced their both heads into the water trough at the same time.
The horses neighed as they were now upset. The forced them selves out of her hold as they shook their heads roughly.
Khalan lost her balance, she tried so much to hold on to something, as her feet were no longer touching the ground. She would have screamed for help, but her stubbornness and stiff neck didn't let her. Rather, she decided to handle herself, as she held on to the bars of the stable that were within her reach.
The horses too were not willing to stop the chaos, till they are sure that would be in no position to force them to drink water, when they didn't want to. They rose on their fore feet, as they hit the stable bars with their hoofs. This made the stable to shake a little, like it would any moment from then.
"Aaah" khalan let out a light scream unknowingly hoping that Nathan didn't hear it, but he did.
"Is everything ok back there?! " he asked from the front in a loud voice, loud enough for her to hear him.
Khalan felt nervous, but managed to speak " yesss Nathan, everything thing is fine! " she yelled aswell, trying so hard not to sound nervous.
"I thought l heard something loud like something was breaking down! " Nathan yelled again as he wanted to be sure that she really was fine.
"Don't worry Nathan, am very ok, and there is nothing for you to worry about ". Nessy replied now calmed. She thanked her stars that Nathan was really busy and trust her to handle herself to an exten , else he would have rushed to the back to check what happened for himself. That was how much he cared about her.
"Ok ok huh whew " she sighed to herself in relief that Nathan didn't insist on what he heard. "Now you horses are definitely on my nerves" she said now getting upset again. She strengthened her grip on the bars, and held herself up. She lifted legs high Above the horses height, before stepping on them with all her might and speed so that they can feel the effects of her small legs as hard as she could cause them to.
Immediately, the horses went insane with effects of her legs, thundering on their heads. They neighed loudly as they stomped their hoofs hard on the ground repeatedly as they shook themselves roughly and raised their fore legs. They forced hard on the bars of the stable repeatedly, as the stable which was now weak began to loose balance, like it was going to crumble.
Khalan was scared to the core, like she was really going to die at the spot. The horses were now shaking the weak stable, so hard that it could fall at anytime. She held unto the bars because her feet was far from the ground. She had climbed to that height when she wanted to punish the horses, but it now seemed like she was the one getting punished.
Finally it happened, after a few more seconds of the chaos in the stable, the bars began to break. Immediately, the horses ran out of the stable, pulling their robes which was tied to the bars that held khalan. As they pulled, the already broken bars were now losing balance and it was at this moment that khalan realized that she needed help.
"Nathan!!! " she screamed repeatedly, with fear in her voice. She was really going to die now, nooo. Her fear increased, when she felt the stable falling. 'Wait is the stable really falling or is it just my imagination ' she thought hoping that she was just imagining unreal things.
But it dawned on her. The stable really was falling with her clinging to of the bars for dear life. "Nathan!!!! Where are you am going to die in here nooo!!! " she screamed on the top of her voice, as she felt her being overtaken.
