New World
My name is Ali Mohammed, I am an Iraqi immigrant living in Canada. I moved to Canada in 1990 when I was 10 years old with my parents. I have been living here for the past 33 years. It took me and my parents nearly 10 years to get a citizenship and at that point I had joined the military. I was able to rise pretty high up the military command chain. Before I had the chance to even think about retirement i was caught up in an attack on our base in Yemen. Before I knew it, everything turned pitch black. Next thing I know I see a blinding light and I come face to face with the most handsome man I have ever seen in my life sitting across from me sipping on some tea.
"Ali Mohammed" he says, "I'm sorry to say that you have died."

"Do you have any regrets?"
"This is a lot different than what I thought would happen after death"
"God had some different plans for you"
"Then-"
"I'm Gabriel"
"The angel?"
"Yes"
"Where's the other guy?"
"Like I said, different plans"
"What now?"
"Now I explain what will happen to you"
The angel Gabriel went on to explain how I will be reincarnated to Earth millions of years after it's destruction. When the earth will have essentially been reset. So long into the future that Pangea Ultima will have been formed. Until then Earth will undergo another change. When all of humanity will have left earth into the afterlife. The Earth will undergo drastic changes that will give birth to creatures only thought to be possible in imagination, and powers that only exist in fantasy. There will be more intelligent life forms on Earth that are much more impressive than humans. The newly evolved humans will have looser limits on their bodies and minds. But that does not mean they are anything special. I will be sent there to help guide the humanity of that time in the right direction and not let them go extinct.
In the meantime while I wait for the right time for me to reincarnate. I will enjoy my time in heaven, preparing for my new life on Earth.
200 million years later...
I have been learning many things in preparation for my eventual return to Earth. The knowledge on this new Earth is different than the Earth from 200 million years ago, new languages, new names for plants and animals. Also these new species have access to power that was non-existent before. Magic power, spirit power, chaos energy, origin energy, Chi, Ki, Qi. Whatever you call it, it is the ability to utilize supernatural forces to potentially achieve any effect you desire. Whether that is to strengthen your body, heighten your senses, move things with your mind, teleport, fly.
No intelligent species have appeared yet as that is 50 million years too early, but many creatures that can only be described as monsters have been roaming the lands for millennia. These creatures use magic only to strengthen their physical capabilities as they do not have the brain capacity to think of other ways to use this power.
These monsters will eventually, after millions of years learn to use magic in more creative ways. Like creatures more susceptible to the cold learning to start fires with lightning magic. Or big creatures that are easily preyed on using earth magic to dig holes for themselves to rest instead of sleeping in the open. Eventually some have the idea of growing food and have others of the same species settle with them so they can protect each other and the food.
Many species learned to coexist with one another, smaller creatures helping bigger creatures with finer more detailed work.
Some creatures resembling monkeys take advantage of their small size, agile bodies and smart minds to leach off of these settlements. Eventually they also grow and learn. The smarter of the bunch choose to get in contact with other similar species and look for places to settle down. They learn to communicate with language instead of touch and fell. They create tools, build houses, forage for food, plant seeds and herd livestock. As the settlement grows so does the complacency of the people. They forget that a giant world exists outside of their little village.
